Mel did an absolutely stellar job on my hair. I’m British and was visiting LA for the first time. I wanted a drastic change from my super-long, black hair. I really wanted it coloured but was slightly nervous about it because it’s so dark and I was concerned about how it might affect the health of my hair.One month on, I’m back in England and people still can’t stop praising my hair! What’s more, it looks and feels healthier than ever.My only regret: I can’t find another Mel in England!Thank you for giving me the refresh I so needed and a huge thank you to the receptionist who worked with Mel to get me a last minute appointment and accommodate me.

Chris has been my hairdresser for a long time. I followed him to this location from his previous location in Westchester. I trust that he will cut and dye my hair perfectly. He knows my hair, my taste and makes me feel good every time. He can advise but not decide for you. He is reliable, appointment on time, he is patient and kind. Both being also from Europe, I also enjoy our discussions over various events here and there. It's like visiting a friend who is also doing my hair? The salon is well kept, people are friendly, down to earth.

This review is way over due. I have been getting my hair highlighted and cut by Amy for the last 4 years. Every time I am blown away with her artistry. I show her a photo and she gets it right every time. I've had my hair cut and colored by other stylists out here (paying so much $$$) when Amy was fully booked and I always left ready to go back to Amy. I think Avenue Hair is one of the best kept secrets in LA and I'm so happy they were able to keep their doors open after last year.
