I have had nothing but positive experiences here at the Summit Vet. My initial experience here occurred during the pandemic when I had a very sick dog. At the time I was still driving all the way up to my old vet in Los Altos. After a long drive and negative experience there, I became determined to find a vet who could help my dog. That’s when I called Summit Veterinary. The receptionist worked with me to have my dog seen that very afternoon. Dr. Parvizi and staff have taken good care of our dog since Dr. Madden left. Yes, the fees for services have increased, but I'm sure with today's economy they are higher elsewhere.Our dog had 2 emergencies last year and I had confidence in the Dr's and staff each time.

My experience with Summit Vet has been great. My regular vet is in Scotts Valley, but I often end up going to Summit Vet as well if they have an opening sooner than my vet for urgent-ish issues. They always do a very thorough examination, and present me with a treatment plan with all pricing outlined. I am able to go through each item line by line and decide what I want to approve. As with any vet, they put the “Here’s what I’d do right now if money was no object” list together, but they also clearly discuss what is absolutely necessary now vs what could be postponed, and what is completely optional. I find them very clear, straightforward, and professional.
