This review is long overdue. I gave birth to my daughter back in October and I am still on cloud 9 thinking about my experience. My husband and I did a lot of research pre-pregnancy on the experience we wanted in pregnancy and birth. We came to the conclusion that a birthing center was the right fit for us, and that is what brought us to Casa Natal. When I walked into my very first appointment at 10 weeks I knew it was the right decision. The hour long appointments had me feeling like all of mine, as well as my husbands questions were answered. I loved that they included him and wanted him to feel included too. I felt so comfortable at the office as it is not like your typical doctors office setting, it feels more like home. You spend the 9 months having appointments with all the midwives so when it comes time to give birth you know exactly who will be helping you deliver your baby. When we got closer to birth my midwives made sure I was ready, and also made sure I had all the information possible to make all the informed decisions I needed to make regarding my daughter and myself. Labor/Birth was incredible. It was not scary at all like so many had made it out to be, and I truly believe this is because of my caring and patient midwives. They provided me with all the tools to get as prepared as possible (breastfeeding classes, encouraging childbirth classes, providing lists of local doulas to work with etc...) Sarah and Shannon supported me yet allowed me to listen to what my body was doing. I want to relive the day over and over again. Thank you Melissa, Sarah, Shannon, Emily, and all the midwives at Casa Natal for making the experience a pretty incredible one for my husband and I. We will never forget the birth of our baby girl!
