Deserves 0 stars if possible. After having a positive experience with peds derm with my daughter, I thought UCLA would be the answer for me. Kyle Cheng came in and diagnosed me with the same skin irritation I told him I had been misdiagnosed with years ago. I apprised him that the treatment hadn't worked, had been irritating and that omitting certain products (at the urging of a different, very capable derm who has since retired,) had worked before....and asked him what else it could be. He laughed at my questions multiple times and apprised me that he couldn't sit there and teach me dermatological terms. When I pointed out that he wasn't giving me any answers to my questions and that he was literally laughing at me, he laughed again and told me he wasn't the doctor for me. No kidding! I think he may not have KNOWN the other irritations to which I was referring, but he certainly knows how to laugh at patients. The thing that bothers me most is that I don't think he would have teated a man in the same way that he treated me. Shameful for UCLA to have something like this on their staff.

I took my son in for a visit to see Dr. Carol Cheng for his eczema. She was 45 minutes late to an appointment with a 7 month old and then wanted to make me wait longer to do a teaching interview' with a student. She looked at my son for less than 5 minutes, prescribed 2 creams that insurance wouldn't even allow because they weren't allowed for babies and sent me a bill for $1085. When I called they just said that's what they charge, even after my insurance paid over $300. She did ZERO tests. You could go to the best dermatologist in Beverly Hills for that. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I have never written a bad doctor review, but this service and accounting is criminal.

Great services, but the desk service is HORRENDOUS, absolutely impossible to get in touch or make appointments! I was diagnosed with Melanoma from Dr. Zhang who was very nice, and was told the receptionist would promptly schedule a follow up. After repeatedly calling back for a week, I finally got in touch with someone and was redirected several times over several days to reach another doctor who was apparently supposed to do my surgery. Finally met with Dr. Crampton who seems very knowledgable, and was told someone would call promptly to schedule my surgery. Given, of all things melanoma is a bit time sensitive. I am now back to repeatedly calling trying to get back in touch. What are these receptionists doing?? Have also been trying to get into my ucla chart for over 5 months now but it keeps putting me in circles. Will NOT be returning here after I am done with this procedure!!
