Chris is always dope! Been going here for about 6 years now and the experience is always consistent. He is someone who really cares about his clients and easy to get along with. I highly recommend but you must book an appointment ahead of time.

Fresh Cuts. Great Prices. Amazing Vibes! Been here twice and have enjoyed my appointments each time. I made an appointment with Jesuz and got me job ready. I was looking for a shop here in LA that you felt good walking in and fresh walking out. Its always important to know what you can communicate with your barber and this dude is attentive. You can sit and just chill, enjoy the Motown Vibes and Artwork all over the place, while you get a fresh cut. You can also vibe about climbing, surfing, or what ever comes up. They do perms, fades, line ups, beard clean up, you got it! Worth the visit. Appointments are done online, easy. This is my go-to. Kindof want to keep this place for myself, but these people are great with their craft so it deserves to be recognized.

My longtime friend and barber recently moved out of state, and for the past 6 months, I had been searching for a good replacement. Unfortunately for me, I was born with an egg-shaped head and a ridiculous cowlick, both of which seem to stump most amateur barbers. For several months, I had search for a worthy barber who could tame the beast, but time after time, I came up with lame barbers who really just didn't understand Filipino hair or my specific dilemma. One day, my wife happened to stumble across this place with amazing reviews, called Backhaus Parlor and it turned out the shop wasn't too far from our place. I decided to give the place a shot and booked an appointment with Manuel. When I got there, Manuel was super friendly and personable, and completely understood my needs. He was easy to talk to and gave me the exact cut that I wanted (including fixing my cowlick to make it sit right finally). During my haircut, I got to chat a bit wit Chris the owner too, who was also very cool. I am so happy with my cut and happy to have found Manuel and Backhaus Parlor. I would happy recommend them to anyone looking for a great cut by great people!
