I want to begin by saying planned parenthood is absolutely a godsend! I have been to multiple locations in LA and I've felt welcomed and supported by every location except this one. The women working the front desk were not very welcoming. The woman doing my blood work didn't even tell me her name and didn't look me in the eye once. The doctor was so short and rude. She made me feel very uncomfortable. She tried accusing me of missing a visit at a different location even though that information was incorrect. Marcela is absolute angel and took the best care of me. I appreciate her compassionate energy as well as providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for me. Marcela's professionalism and warmth made my visit comfortable and reassuring. I am grateful for the outstanding care I received, thank you so much !
Today was my first day at Planned Parenthood and I went in for STI testing. I was extremely nervous and I have really bad anxiety around getting tests done especially getting my blood drawn. Nurse Karen was seriously one of the best nurses I have had in my lifetime. She was so comforting and personable, she made me feel safe and seen!! I trusted her so much and she got my blood drawn on the first go which has never happened to me ever. If possible, go to her for your healthcare needs! You will not be let down. Thank you Karen for being the best caring and patient nurse around!!
