I’ve been to Julio for a haircut 3 times now and it was after my first visit that I knew I’d only go to him from now on. He’s so kind and has decades of experience cutting hair at this exact location. The only professional difference between Julio’s Salon vs the many overpriced salons in highland park (aside from the massive difference in price) is that Julio has years and years of experience. And it shows.

I love my new haircut! Julio did what I wanted based on a photo I brought it, not what they'll think will look good! My hair was really bad. I hate haircuts. On top of that, late last year I had a health condition that made it difficult for me get out of bed. Knots broke off so much of my hair. As the year started, my damaged hair was bothering me- I just wanted a simple long bob with curtain bangs. That's what Julio did. He didn't try to convince me. He was honest that I would loose inches (but I wasn't surprised- my hair was bad). He cut a bit and asked if I wanted to go shorter (to confirm) and I said yes, he proceeded. So respectful of my choice. I love my new hair! He's easy to talk to and was in a very pleasant and calm mood. There's a lot crazy wait time for hair appointments in highland park but Julio's is reasonable. You can see him with in the same day or the next. The price is reasonable for good service. I highly suggest giving this shop a try.
