I used to use Hammer Sprinklers in Santa Monica for sprinkler repair and maintenance at my house---used them for probably more than 10 years, with mostly favorable results. Apparently they are under new ownership or management, as the usual receptionist/dispatcher was gone, and they are no longer in SM but somewhere in LA. The new crew no longer charges by the hour, but rather charges by the job, quoting a price upon arrival. I was quoted $375, authorized them to proceed, signed a work order specifying $375 and the work to be performed, and gave them my credit card information.
