Our 7-year-old son joined the dojo in the fall of 2019. Based on proximity to our home and the effusive reviews, we chose to begin classes with Kyoshi Torres. I could not imagine then how vital his leadership and genuine joy for his art would become in our son’s and our lives. His devotion and focus is contagious along with his spot on sense of humor and fun. Unmistakably one of the best decisions we have made to date for our child. He finds inspiration and motivation to participate more fully in our home and at school since beginning his training with Crescent Moon. He has always been an enthusiastic participant, but it is markedly apparent that by following Kyoshi’s example he has a deeper understanding of what it means to bring your best efforts to any task or situation and is developing a sense of personal responsibility.
