California Paving and Grading did an absolutely superb job installing a new semi-circular concrete driveway for my home. The final product exceeded my fondest expectations, and I felt the price was very fair. The competence, courtesy and professionalism of everyone on their staff with whom I dealt was extremely impressive.They did a thorough job in understanding my desires and requirements, ensuring that two special challenges could be met, and quoting me a fair price. Ther two special challenges were (1) not damaging any water lines, including the main copper and several PVC irrigation lines, all of which were only slightly below the depth at which grading was required and (2) meeting stringent requirements on the vertical profile of the new side driveway so my trailer hitch would not bottom out. (I had established the required grade profile and a made a template.) The overall overseer of the work, and the operator of the grading machine were simply amazing in how they met my stringent requirements. I was impressed with their laser-level technology and the clever way they applied it to ensure the required grade profile was met.The concrete was lain on top of 4" base that was packed down by a heavy-duty highway-class roller. The concrete was 4" thick with an imbedded matrix of rebar whose junctions were placed on small adobe cylinders to hold the rebar midway deep in the concrete as it was poured. The team who spread the concrete and then smoothed the surface appeared to me as much artists as construction workers.CalPav senior workers made several suggestions for improvement to my driveway design, many that did not involve an increase in price. The implementation of their suggestions greatly improved the overall quality of the final product.I especially appreciated the willingness, even enthusiasm, of the CalPav team to answer my questions and help with minor work related to the driveway (for example digging the trenches for new irrigation pipes and helping me place them before the concrete was laid.) It was obvious that they all took great pride in their work and doing the best job they could.I give CalPave highest recommendation, without any reservations, to anyone who needs a high-quality concrete driveway at a fair price.

Great company with reliable service and truly fair pricing if you're looking for asphalt curbing or any other type of Paving I would definitely give them a call.They knocked out a job that I was quoted three times as much for I can only say that they are my go to Paving Company now!

Great estimate very clearly detailed and a good price! Tom was very thorough and had some great ideas for our new driveway.The crew did wonderful work on time, and really took pride in their work, and carefully integrated it with the old work..The big crew made the job go very quickly.
