Ms. Hasmik Kotelyan is a wonderful teacher, and an artist, who is very passionate about spreading her love of quality music to children. My kids had great progress in her class and under her supervision. They learned to appreciate music, which will always benefit them in their lives. I will always be grateful for my time at Allegretto Music School. For more than ten years, I had the privilege of learning both piano and violin under the instruction and guidance of Hasmik Kotelyan. Besides teaching the technical and expressional elements of musical performance, she exposed me to a range of cultural art forms and styles. From exotic Spanish dances to Scandinavian lyric pieces, I developed a worldly appreciation for music with the help of Mrs. Kotelyan. Her patient and caring personality gives her the ability to work with children of all ages and backgrounds. She constantly makes an effort to instill in her students an understanding of the music industry by organizing engaging and educational activities. For example, she took me and a few other students to a master class featuring renowned Russian pianist Pavel Petrov. In addition, I had the opportunity to attend several other events such as orchestral concerts and classical duets. For me, one of the highlights of my time at Allegretto Music School occurred when I, along with several other of Mrs. Kotelyan's students, was invited to perform at an assisted living facility and an adult day care center. In those moments, nothing could replace the sheer happiness I felt by seeing the looks of joy on everyone's faces. This experience taught me the importance of giving back to my community, especially with music. Looking back now, I can definitively say that it encouraged me to pursue other avenues of community service in the future. I would not be the same person I am today if it were not for this school. Thank you, my dear Mrs.Kotelyan, for giving me and all those around you the gift of music.
