My wife gave me a package with group classes and individual dance lessons for Christmas. It was a great gift and we have had so much fun together learning waltz, cha cha, jive and tango. Now we have managed to move to the next level, thanks to our wonderful private teacher Alejandra Serrano. Alejandra is always prepared and she is very astute teacher. She observes and then she explains the steps and the technique. I wholeheartedly recommend Arete Dance Studio, the Intro to Ballroom package and Alejandra.
I love ADC - such a warm group of people and terrific instruction in all kinds of dance! The easy-going attitude, good humor, and understanding of how adults dance make it so satisfying. Plus the floor is beautiful! And finally, possibly my favorite thing - think ADC is the only studio in the Bay Area offering pas de deux as a regular part of class!! Love it. Pas de deux is usually reserved for workshops and professionals. Thank you Amanda Janesick for including it in your excellent Sunday class :).
