I take my dad here for his haircut every six weeks. I usually call Larry a few days before and get an appointment. He normally has availability Friday or Saturday morning. My dad keeps coming back so he likes the haircut. Parking can be a little difficult due to it being close to Mama’s.
Gene is the absolute best barber! This was our second time coming back after having just moved to the area, and this time Gene cut our youngest’s hair for the first time! It was just like having it cut in a family member’s home, Gene was so kind and loving and patient with him. Highly recommend coming here for all the families out there:)
After losing my favorite barber/stylist for 30+ years, I tried a few local barber shops in the area for a professional haircut. Needless to say, I was disappointed in the quality of the haircuts. In spite of some old reviews on the previous owner, I took a chance on Gary's Place and I was very impressed by new owner Larry Parilla's work. My wife also said Larry did a great job. Looks like I found my new hairstylist! If you're a professional or meet many people in the course of your job, you know how important it is to look good. Larry can give you the confidence you expect from a professional haircut. Larry mentioned his twin brother will be joining him at his shop which is also getting some nice upgrades. If you're a senior, I'm confident you will also enjoy meeting Larry and his brother. Both of them have been cutting hair for over 40 years. You'll find his shop in the small commercial area behind Mama's restaurant.
