Jones Family Roofing is where it is at! They are a small family-owned and family-run roofing company here in the Sacramento/Placer county area and everyone I interacted with at this company was just a gem.While we hired Jones Family Roofing in 2023, our story goes back to 2017. Recently widowed, my mom saw something she though meant she needed a new roof. She mentioned this to her HVAC serviceman who referred her to Jones Family Roofing.Richard came out to look at my mom's concerns and he assured her that her roof was perfectly fine and should be for another 5-6 years. She was relieved and when she told me this story, I asked her to give me their contact info so I could save it in my phone for anyone else needing roof work done. Richard (or someone else) could have so VERY easily taken advantage of my mother and just agreed that she needed a new roof just to get the work, but Richard was a stand-up guy and his integrity spoke volumes about him, his family, and his company.Fast forward 6 years, sadly my mother passed away and now it was us kids needing to re-roof the home prior to having family move into the house. Jones family came out quickly and provided an extremely competitive quote. It wasn't the lowest quote we received, but the 2017 interaction had scored Jones Roofing MAJOR brownie points with me (and my brothers) so we decided to award them the job.Jean in the office was so sweet and helpful/kind with any and all questions that we had. Our job took place on time and remained on schedule. I went over to check on the crew and spoke with Jean's grandson/Richard's nephew who was on the job (can't remember his name, darn it) and he was super kind and genuine as well. I didn't meet the tear-off crew but it was all Jones boys putting the roof on the house. We had Mr Miller install a Generac generator and we found his pricing and service to be the best. He does the work himself so you aren't dealing with employees that may or may not care. VERY PROFESSIONAL! We had asked for a bid from another local company and they wanted $7000 up front without lifting a finger! Mr Miller definitely deserves 5 stars!!!

I highly recommend working with Cindy for Bowens Therapy. I came to her with a bulging L-5 disc and severe sciatic pain that ran from my lower back through my glute, down the left side of my leg all the way through to my toes. The pain was excruciating and I wasn’t able to sleep or lessen the discomfort no matter what I did (including taking pain management meds- I usually try to avoid medications if I can, but the pain was so unbearable I was willing to try anything to get it to subside)… nothing worked or even touched the pain, until I saw Cindy. After my first Bowens therapy treatment with her my pain subsided by at least 70%! It’s not hyperbole to say that it was a night and day difference in my pain from before working with Cindy to after my first appt. I did not need pain management meds after my first treatment with her, and I finally got to sleep for the first night after 4 days of no sleep/nonstop pain. By my second and third appt I was walking normally again, and the pain was for the most part completely gone. I’m still dealing with some nerve tingling and flare ups in my foot, but I’ve found so much relief through working with Cindy for Bowens Therapy.
If you have herniated/bulging discs, sciatica or chronic pain, I can’t recommend Cindy enough for Bowens Therapy!

I love this place! The stylists are kind and polite. Very helpful and do a great job with my hair. I have been seeing Shannon since 2008 and trust no one else with my hair when I am ready for something different and afraid of my choice I just let her be her hair artist self and do what she wants with it, within reason. She is amazing!She is the only one that can do a great amazing cut for my son's thick hair. It is worth the cost because those cheap deals never did good work with his crazy thick hair. He has body and thickness.

Found out that our backflow for irrigation was leaking for what was probably years in the making. Called a bunch of plumbers and none of them seemed to know much about fixing backflows. Jim from Bills Backflow Service came out and literally had the gaskets and parts for my backflow (on my 15 yr old house in lincoln) and fixed it in 20 minutes (in the 105 degree heat). I offered to hold an umbrella and bring him cold water and he wouldnt let me but i did anyway. He was a great guy and really knows backflows as he works on public buildings and if you need backflow testing or fixing call Jim! He's a great local guy and has a beautiful dog that he brings too!Also he charged a fourth of what another plumber in Sac quoted (after seeing these pics.) I have never in my life tipped a plumber but did so today!(20%, too!)
My shower flooded. I called Joyce and she was able to come out the same day. She was very diligent and knowledgeable. She worked for several hours never able to find a distinct blockage. Things appeared to be clear. The next day I showered, and things were fine. I did a load of laundry and when I came home, the floor was flooded again. She came back and went in through the laundry room this time as well as under the house again. This time she took all the pipes apart and made sure they were clear. After several more hours of work, we believe my lines are now clear I haven't had a problem since. She worked very hard and never gave up. I appreciate her honesty and determination. I'll definitely call her again if I need a Plumber!
Christian did a great job for us at a fair price, installing conduit and floodlamp fixture to illuminate our backyard, installing WiFi outlet, switch and new transformer for low voltage landscape lighting and adding an exterior outlet at our side yard. Appreciate his attention to detail, identifying and fixing a number of minor issues and deficiencies that he noticed while completing our project. Highly recommended.

It's really hard to find great electricians who are top professionals and can figure out and solve problems so easily. Chad and the folks at Magic Sun are those kind of people! Great value, great service and I would highly recommend them to anyone living in Placer County. They've done our yard outdoor lighting, indoor ceiling fans, multiple TV Mounts and installs, and we are so pleased with how everything has turned out. They even fixed some issues we had with our circuit box, and also outdoor fountain. Whenever I have something come out--I don't have to think twice--I just have to call Chad and the problem will be fixed, and for a price as good or better than anyone else! Best cabinet design/installation company in the business. They've been around forever. No one knows cabinets like these guys. If you're looking for the experience and service that seems not to exist these days, then WPC's is your go-to cabinet shop. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. My kitchen needed a facelift but I was on a set budget. After checking out other solid surface companies, I'm so glad I found Lisac Kitchen and Bath. I LOVE my new countertops!!! Stanko and his crew did an amazing job of giving me the most beautiful and perfect countertop. Their fabrication of my countertop with integrated sink is nothing short of stunning. Their product is a superior solid surface brand called Kerrock and it beats any other solid surface brand out there. Stanko is very customer service centered and he was very responsive to my calls and texts, and oh so patient!There was never any pressure and Stanko was upfront and honest every step of the way. It was easy breezy from start to finish. His prices are really good. If you want something that looks like Quartz but actually much better, go with this company. You will be glad you did.
