Visited the LGBT+ clinic here! It was amazing didn't feel any judgement from staff. Dr Castillo is very nice and caring. Dr Valdez was also very nice, attentive and caring. We were put in the room pretty quickly with no wait to see the nurse and then Dr Valdez came in quickly after. Dr Valdez was very good! He wasn't rushing us through the process. I hope everyone knows that this is THE place to go for all your needs. STI testing, HRT, referrals for hotlines and so much more. This was our first appointment and I'm so excited to be a patient of this medical center.

Yesss!!! Finally, the first decent primary care doctor I have had since 2015! There are a lot of bad doctors that take Medi-Cal. Something dawned on me and I remembered I did have a few good experiences at this place in the past, so after not finding any good doctors closer to me, I am now traveling about 15 miles each way to go back to MCMG Long Beach. Today I had my first appointment with Dr Shen and he was WONDERFUL! 1,000 stars for him! He was the polar opposite of my problematic last doctor at memorial care in Torrance. Dr. Shen spent about 45 minutes with me at my first time appointment today. My last doctor spent about 45 seconds with me at my first time appointment with him. Dr Shen was kind, caring, compassionate, and competent. I have a very complex medical situation with many chronic illnesses. So I poured out a Ton of information on Dr Shen in the first visit and I believe he got it all. He ordered bloodwork for me, put in referrals, add helped me secure my next 2 appointments soon. I'm going back in 3 days for the woman's health care (which seems to be only available on Mondays), and my follow up visit with Dr Shen will be virtual. I also felt like MCMG Primary Care Long Beach did a wonderful job of keeping us protected from Covid. They screened us before entering, and I was allowed to wait in my car and they called me when it was my turn to come in. I'm very optimistic. Thank you Dr. Shen... this country desperately needs more doctors like you who treat patients with compassion and knowledge.
