These guys came out, inspected my roof, and gave me a quote on a home purchase. I decided to go with them which was my first mistake. Shortly after, I got a gutter company to come out and replace my gutters. Thats when I realized the type of work Smith Coatings does. Out of the 3 things they said they were going to do….1 was accomplished. And it was mediocre at best.

Gutter and moss cleaning….negative, never happened.

Broken tile replacement… some replaced and some patched ( they didn’t even try to match the color of the rest of the roof tiles ) I found out that my roof has tiles that need to be ordered, which is why I guess they decided to patch...read full review

Smith Coatings came knocking on my mother's door, promising they could "seal" my parents' old aluminum roof barn with some holes in it. My mother is not familiar with roofing terms, and understood "seal" to mean make waterproof. Later, we would learn that "seal", to Smith Coatings, basically means to paint a metal roof. Part of doing business is educating your customers on your products and services, not using sales terms to trick customers into making decisions against their interests.When I realized what had happened, I called the work off. I called on Tuesday , two days before Thanksgiving. My roof had been leaking for a couple of years and have had many roofers out.Fred came out on Friday. Showed me all that was wrong with my roof. Told me what needed to be done to get through the rainy season. Did what he said , and no more leak. I will get the rest dealt with this summer. I appreciate his honesty to the fullest. Words can not express my appreciation to him.
