“Our house here in Brentwood sits on a steep grade due to the proximity to a creek. Unfortunately, the moisture from all of these storms this year caused a mature tree in our front yard to begin rapidly falling over. It became a safety hazard because people park underneath it, we live near school, and the tree was falling on to the sidewalk that people use to access a public trail. We got four different quotes and explored options to see if there was anything we could do to save our beautiful tree. Consensus was that air had gotten up underneath the roots and the tree was coming down one way or another. With that in mind, we felt that Patrick with the Davey Tree Experts was the most knowledgeable of all the arborists we had come out. He gave us insight into the type of tree we have, common problems with those trees, and he also researched a list of drought tolerant trees that we could plant in our yard as a replacement that wouldn't fall down in the future. He also handled all of the city conversations on our behalf since we have an easement in the front with a water main and sewer access right next to where a tree was. We are thankful that scheduling was very quick. I think they were able to come out in less than a week to remove the tree and grind the stump. Patrick also came out beforehand to mark the tree and wrap caution tape around it since it was falling. The speed at which they got the tree removed was really important because we just had a massive wind storm and I'm glad the tree was safely removed before it fell and damaged any irrigation or water lines from ripping out of the ground. Expedience was also really important to prevent getting any code enforcement violation for blocking a sidewalk. Of course we are sad that We had to remove a mature tree, but it was done as safely and efficiently as possible and for a reasonable price. We really appreciate that, plus the understanding and great service made the process so much easier for us. We are breathing a sigh of relief now that the risk of the tree falling is over and the process was so smooth. Thanks so much!“
