“I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Dr. Michael Lum and the new Fractional CO2 laser.

After months of research comparing machines, treatment options, and providers, I can say that Dr. Lum’s office has the best fractional CO2 laser experience in the area. Their machine is the latest technology, featuring a Tetra Pro CO2 laser mode called “Cool Peel Mode” that delivers great results with minimal to no downtime. I have seen other machines without the newer features and they are a no-go. The new cool peak mode is almost unheard of with traditional CO2 treatments!

I’ve done IPL in the past and while it helped somewhat with redness and pigmentation, the results from this fractional CO2 treatment are on another level. “Dr Funk and the entire staff here are amazing. Cedars wanted to put me on a 4 month long wait list to be seen, but thanks to the recommendation of a friend I found Pink Lotus and they were literally able to get me in same day. I was seen, examined, given an ultrasound which revealed 3 benign cysts, and had the cysts aspirated all in under an hour. She also decided to run genetic testing for me based on family history of breast cancer. I can't say enough good things about the experience. “This doctor has literally saved my life. I got sick and ended up in and out of the hospital, with countless symptoms but with no answers. I was in and out of the ER several times a week, BEGGING for answers, referred to many specialists over and over only to be told my labs were normal and sent on my way. I was put on a regimen of natural medicine and supplements to fix the damage that had been caused. My journey was a tough one, and I took it very slow since I'm so sensitive to everything, and she helped me every step of the way. ALL of those symptoms are gone, I am still working on healing, especially since I was severely deficient in iron, and healing my nervous system so I can keep everything else in balance, but I am functional now, and doing so much better. Dr. Lissa has helped me get my life back, and I can't even express how grateful I am. Doctors swore up and down I would not heal my GERD without taking their PPIs, they literally told me it was IMPOSSIBLE, (without doing any actual tests on me of course, I had low stomach acid so their PPIs would have made me sicker, ironically), but here I am now, no more GERD, zero use of PPIs. “I enjoyed getting a Fractional CO2 laser at Dermatown. I got it in February of 2025. It was my first time getting a laser done to my face, so I wasn’t entirely sure how to go about it. Fortunately, the customer service was amazing and I felt comfortable getting the laser. I was given detailed instructions of how to care for my face post treatment and they gave me a kit to take home. The kit had directions on them and skin care tools to care for my face. I was also able to send Dermatown daily photos of my face so they could track my progress and guide me on what to do each day as my face was going through the stages of the treatment.
