“Six blades is a great dojo. Especially for kids, in my experience. Professor and coaches are great, present and attentive. I’ve recommended thus place to 2 other families and they’re kids are learning and having a good experience. Good vibes, discipline, and hard work here. Check them out!“
“I called around a few spots to inquire because my 5 year old daughter was interested in this art. This place was friendly from the beginning not only to me but my daughter as well. Kelly was very kind and accommodating. My daughter feels safe and comfortable coming to these classes. Master Kang is amazing with the kids and so are his leadership trainers. My daughter is learning quickly and loves it. Definitely recommend this place for kids.“
“I 100% recommend this school... since in almost 2 years of training my children I have seen excellent sports and behavioral results as well. Teachers are extraordinary people who are dedicated to the sports development of all students.“
“My eldest started when she was 8 yo. She went through the program and received her black belt. My son is currently attending, started when he was 4 yo and will be testing for 3rd degree bb soon. In all, we've been here for 16 years straight. They have both competed in comptetion with great results. Whether to build confidence, discipline, set goals, or compete, this place is the best place to learn under Master Victor.“
“My nephew had a hard time wanting to start the process.... But they worked with him.... Took the extra time to talk to him and relate. They are great at encouraging and cheering on everyone. I also like that the class has varying ages. It's a very welcoming place.“
“What a wonder gym with a great atmosphere and fantastic instruction from world class instructors. the space is made for all ages and abilities and is incredibly welcoming for advanced and new students alike. Cleber is very personable and a great instructor that genuinely cares for his students and wants only the best for them from travelong to tournaments to coach to one on one lessons you should come here for world class training.“
“This review is specific for the kids classes from a parent. As a family joining CheckMat with no previous martial arts background, CheckMat has exceeded our expectations. From day one, the instructors have each been welcoming and fair to all kids in the program. There is no question that the instructors all enjoy teaching jiujitsu to children of different skill levels and ages, it’s definitely a passion of theirs and because of that, the kids safety and instruction is tailored to challenge each kid on an individual basis. As a parent, watching your children develop life skills, gain confidence, improve their fitness, respect others, enjoy competition, and have fun/laugh at the same time is all you can ask for - and that we get with every class we send our kids to.We are extremely happy with our experience at CheckMat and would recommend it to others looking for a challenging and supporting activity for their family.“
“Master Chris and all of the staff are excellent. They are especially patient with my shy son giving him confidence, extra time when he needs it and patience. Class is fun, kids are in great spirits and enjoy coming each week. They also reinforce respect, talk to the kids about creating good habits and kindness. Highly recommend for all ages.“
“Terry is great trainer, motivator, and really patient. My now 10 year old son has been training with T for a year now and I have seen so much progress. Terry motivates yet makes it fun for my son to enjoy every training session. So, if you're looking for a great trainer, Terry is definitely your guy! Thanks T for your dedication and professionalism as a trainer. We're looking forward to many more years! ? ?“
“I can't recommend this gym enough! It's run by Kevin and Haley, both black belts, and you can immediately tell that they pour their heart and soul into the gym. They treat everyone like family, creating an incredibly welcoming environment. The matt space itself is fantastic--spacious, full of natural light, and clean! It's clear they take pride in every detail. Whether you're new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or experienced, professor Kevin and Haley are not only highly skilled but also extremely humble and caring. They truly care about each student's progress and are always there to help and encourage. If you're looking for a gym that combines top tier training with a warm, family-like atmosphere this is the place to be!“
“New breed is a great place to train, they were welcoming from day one it felt like family. The professors are there for you on and off the mats. There's a community among the staff and students. I now have been training for a little over a year now. I am grateful for the influence BJJ has put into my life at work, personal and even among peers. BJJ is a journey, it grows on you, it makes those long days feel easier. To me, my biggest gain is that I am less stressed with life, because I now have an outlet, that I enjoy very much. I navigate problems with more ease and critical thinking. Stop by and take that jump on those mats and have your own experience/journey. Osss!“
“Excellent place to train. Professor Bill Tetsch is a knowledgeable and passionate BJJ practitioner. I was able to drop in for a handful of classes while up on a work trip and will definitely visit if I am in the area again! Thank you so much for having me!“
“Our 2 boys loved their Sensei. He's great with the kids and disciplines when need it. Hoping to come back in the spring.“
“Hi Sensei this is Tony I saw that you replied to my mom that I just want to say the I miss your academy I really wanna go back but sadly it’s too far but let me know when you return back I’ll be waiting take care!“
“Great place to bring your kids to learn discipline, respect, get into shape, learn for a real Korean grandmaster make new friends, learn self defense“
“A great place to train and learn martial arts! You'll learn many different techniques and skills here. Plus, the instructors and other students are awesome to work with!“
“Hi, my name is mark, and im very proud to say to this day that i was the very 1st student at this school when it opened. If you are thinking of becoming a student of this wing chun school, then you will certainly be going to a top notch wing chun school. Sifu talbot is a very good and personable instructor. I stopped going to the school because i simply could not and would not commit myself to training. I started looking for excuses not to go to class. Ohh i tried other martial arts schools before and after the time i spent at west coast wing chun. For the past 2 years i trained in karambit knife combat. After that 2 years i fortunately gain enough skill to be able to effectively defend myself if it comes down to god forbid. If you truly want the skill, then you commit yourself to training otherwise you're wasting time and money regardless of the school you choose. But i give this school a definite 5 star! Mark Alonzo First and former student“
“Five Stars for UTO taekwondo. Mr Lee is great. I have a five-year-old and a 7 year old daughters who go here and I am very happy about the program here.“
“I have been going to the Norwalk Japanese school for year's on their celebration day it's a lot of fun“
“NHC Martial Arts stands as an exceptional facility – profoundly professional, impeccably clean, and a remarkable hub for martial arts enthusiasts. It encapsulates the essence, passion, and values of martial arts. The owner, a paragon of integrity, respect, and kindness, is a role model I aspire to emulate in both my personal life and career. Gratitude to NHC Martial Arts for this inspiring experience.“
“Came here for Memorial Day open mat. Very great vibes. All cool guys. Great prices. Thank you so much for the hospitality!“
“We love the self-defense Dojo! It has helped build confidence and the instructors are great! Very clean and courteous and professional and fun!!“
“Aguilar's combat concepts it's a great way to learned a mixed martial arts, because the price is so low compared to other places (and they only teach you box), the people that you will train with are very respectful and they make you fill comfortable, everybody gets along and trust me you will not have any trouble with the others, you will learned new thing, they also speak SPANISH so it doesn't matter if you speak only English or Spanish you will still learned a lot of great thing, they also have kid training, all of his classes are great you will not regret it. Come check us out.“
“I own a business in the same shopping center as this place. Tonight, one of my staff ran inside their studio because a couple of guys were catcalling and being sketchy while she was trying to lock up. Two of their staff dropped what they were doing and escorted her over to lock up and get to her car safely. It's one thing to train martial arts, and it's another to be willing to actually use it to defend someone. 5 stars in my book. Thanks guys!“
“My daughter started karate in Feb 2022. We love how this place is very family friendly. Kids are learning to have self control and discipline. I can tell they all respect their Sensei and learning all the kempo and combinations. I didn't think my daughter is going to last, but after 6 months she's got her purple belt. It was hard work, but rewarding at the same time. It builds self confidence and get them to move around. I highly recommend this place.“
