“My husband and I bought a fixer upper in Mission Viejo in 2021 and hired Michael and his crew to totally renovate the inside of our home. They tirelessly worked on my project for 14 weeks and one of his crew, Luis, stayed on to finish the details (tile floors, tile backsplash, paint, minor drywall, etc.) for another 6 months. They moved two load bearing walls to expand the kitchen; added an additional bedroom, bathroom, and loft to the upstairs; added a walk-in tub to the guest bathroom; redesigned the master bathroom and closet; refaced the fireplace; replaced all the doors; replaced or added electrical outlets, light fixtures, and plumbing just to name a few. Every square inch of the interior of our home was refurbished! It was a huge project and we are very satisfied with the result.Michael definitely knows what he's doing. We worked together flawlessly. He accommodated NUMEROUS revisions along the way and he also made many suggestions that were valuable like adding a loft (my granddaughter's favorite hangout). He really listened to my requests even though at times it was a little anal. (e.g. All my ceiling lights had to be precisely centered and I wanted the toilet moved over a few inches.) He did all this with a great attitude. He began to understand our personalities and how we wanted things. We felt he was looking out for our best interest and we trusted him and his judgement. For example, when we asked for advice about quotes we received from window installers/vendors, he'd advise us that the quotes were too high or fair. He'd give his perspective on what he thought the going rate should be and that perhaps we were being overcharged. Good to have an expert on hand.After working so closely with him for so long, we have developed a great friendship and respect for each other. Considering that we just found him on Google and he did not come as a referral, it's understandable why we were initially uneasy to trust him with our valuable asset, our home. After hearing so many horror stories of renovation and contractors, we're very blessed that our experience was not that. We wholeheartedly wish everyone have the same awesome experience we have had with our project and contractor, Mike. Thank you Mike, Marty, and Luis. You guys are incredibly hard workers, men of integrity, and we really appreciate all your efforts especially during those super hot July days in the upstairs loft without air conditioning!“
