This was my first experience having Vere prepare my taxes, and I couldn't be happier. His knowledge and skills made me feel very comfortable, and he made the entire process simple.
When I reached out to Vere Chapelle, I had already prepared my taxes via TurboTax. However, I did not know how to deduct a VA Home Loan Funding Fee. I explained my situation to Vere. After initially speaking with me, he did due diligence before meeting with me to prepare my income tax return. He thoroughly and conclusively explained that the IRS no longer allows the VA Home Loan Funding Fee deduction. Furthermore, the deductions for mortgage-related expenses all go under line 8 on the Schedule A, and there is no longer a place for the VA Home Loan Funding Fee entry. According to Publication 936 ( the deduction for VA funding fees is no longer available beginning with the 2022 tax year. My experience with Vere was great. I would highly recommend him for his knowledge and professionalism.
After nearly 20 years with the same tax guy he retired leaving me a bit lost on who was a good trustful fit for me then I found Vene he was great ** 5 STAR**. We met in a local business hotel lobby in Laguna Hills where there is a business center that`s a great place to meet he showed up on time was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of my questions I was behind on my taxes but he put me back on track. I like the fact that Vene is a independent small local business owner everything these days is so corporate thanks Again Vere I look forward to a long relationship. Ed Mac
