Fresenius Medical Care at Sharp Grossmont Hospital

The staff are amazing. While I was in the ER I noticed that people just kept coming well into the night all of them were seen and even people with very bad social pathologies were helped and treated with respect regardless of how badly they treated the staff. God bless the staff of this hospital.

I a black woman gave birth to 2 children here in the past 2 years. The first time was in 2022 2nd in 2024. Firstly, I was in labor my first time and brought my 8 year old who I had to find a sitter last minute. My SO was so worried he'd miss the birth of our baby. Luckily I found someone and he was out in 2 hours and I had my baby about an hour after that. So do not bring extra ppl especially kids. I think they said he had to be 10 or older or something so just lied like I wish I did had I known he couldn't stay! He was bummed and so were we. The staff was quite nice and the food was ok. Orthopedic Program My husband recently had shoulder replacement surgery at Sharp Grossmont. We were very pleased with the level of care he received. The total joint replacement program is very well coordinated. This is the third time we have interacted with that surgical support team. Astrid, the orthopedic program manager, leads classes that are informative and cover a broad range of pre and post op scenarios facilitating proper preparation and expectations for post op care.
