“John redid our roof I wanna say about 6 or so years ago. He was recommended to me by my dad, who's tough to please. He did a great job, his pricing was more than fair, and he was quick. The reason I'm leaving the review now though is about our funky, poorly built, unpermitted back room. When he did the rest of the house I asked him to help us insulate that room better, so he put down some kind of foam paneling, covered it with tar paper material, and installed metal flashing all around. After a few summers that tar paper has started to pull back from the flashing, and it's letting water accumulate and leak into the room. I called John intending to pay him to fix it. He wouldn't hear of it and insisted on fixing it for free. He came out so fast as soon as the weather cleared. Then I told him I think we have a rodent problem up there. I'd like to pay him to remove the roof, let me clean out all the mess, and then have him put a proper roof back on. Again he went out of his way to help me find cheaper ways of resolving the problem than having him redo the roof completely (solutions he would in no way benefit from). The man has integrity, and I trust him to help me find the best solutions for whatever my house needs, even if it isn't in his financial interest to do so. You should too!“

“Stellar experience all around!

In my initial interest in setting up residential solar, I tried doing research and asking for quotes by myself, but this was a messy, complicated proposition. There is so much information out there! A lot of websites seemed to have a bias, and I would instantly be inundated with sales solicitations as soon as I filled out an online form.

I discovered Energysage was recommended to help with this difficult process. They were pretty neutral in their bias, aside from helping consumers make the best decision possible, and the process made it much easier to research and compare installers. Out of all the possibilities for our location, Solar Optimum was consistently highest rated as well as had done a lot of installations.

So I went with Solar Optimum, and even with high expectations I was so pleasantly surprised at how excellent the process was throughout. Great transparent and timely communication and outstanding customer service all the way through. They kept me well informed of every step including costs and attentively followed up each time.

Ours was not an easy set up, due to our location and roofing. After installation during the turn on phase, there was a small glitch that was not uncommon. They sped through fixing it and now we have a great solar set up. They have been super solid after turn on as well, however I don't really need to bug them much with everything running smoothly for months now.

I can't say enough about how great this entire experience has been, especially after feeling quite intimidated with how complicated it was at first. I could not recommend going with Solar Optimum more highly if you are looking for a residential solar installation.“
