“It's never easy to make the decision to render the ultimate act of love for our pets. Eventually, we come face to face with that reality. Two days ago, we came to that realization for our 12 year old cocker spaniel, Teddy. Over the past few months, we watched him start his decline and helping us along the way was doctor Pershing. Her counsel and expertise were appreciated by us as Teddy showed increased signs of dementia and weight loss. In the end, Dr. Pershing was there for us on the phone and at the last goodbye to our little man. We are grateful to her for her concern for Teddy and us. I am also thankful and appreciative of Barbara in the front office who was compassionate and caring to us during this difficult morning. Rest In Peace Teddy aka Boo.“

“We have two chihuahua mix rescues who have both benefited greatly from their training with Alexandra. One of our dogs was reactive, and its now much easier to bring him on walks as well as have visitors to our home. The other was quite skittish which made training on our own tricky. Alexandra really helped us navigate his needs and build up his confidence. Both of our dogs are more confident and much better citizens since they started training. Also, while we originally did training in person and weren't quite sure how well virtual training would go, Alexandra navigates Zoom training remarkably and we don't feel like we're losing anything from not having in-person sessions.“

“Our dog, Booker needed a bath, grooming, and some TLC. We stayed one night at the Pasadena Hotel and came across LA Pet Home on our midnight walk. We came by in the morning where they had a 10:00 opening. Fatih was personable, caring, and gentle with Booker! He took his time with Booker to make sure that he was comfortable! Fatih did an amazing and wonderful job! And Booker was definitely a pleased and happy camper!

“My dog LOVES Den, and so do I. It is a pricier day care, but it is worth it to us. We have a young, sweet dog who loves everyone, but can be a bit much. We needed a place where she could learn how to socialize properly. They have a trainer on staff and they offer training sessions to add your day care (at an additional cost). The staff are very skilled, friendly, and patient.“

He's always grinning like a fool, as are his friends. He's clearly having a blast. “My husband and I just wrapped up a series of in-home training sessions with Jenina and our two dogs, and we were both blown away by what a committed, talented and generous dog trainer she is.

We'd hired her to help with our recently-adopted dog Zoey, whose stress-triggered aggression had resulted in a couple of our friends being bitten. Jenina clearly knows what she's doing, having worked in this industry for over two decades. But at least as important, she's also a calming, kind presence, and even Zoey- who's suspicious of all visitors- quickly warmed up to her.

My husband and I have a lot of work to do with Zoey, but thanks to Jenina, we have some great exercises to practice with Zoey to build her confidence and decrease her reactivity. Jenina also gave us excellent recommendations for better managing our environment when guests come over to avoid risk of any more bites occurring in the future. We're both starting to feel a lot more hopeful that we can eventually have a more relaxed life with Zoey, as long as we put in the work.

It's clear Jenina is in this line of work for the love of dogs and not for the money. Her prices are surprisingly affordable- a big relief given the rapidly escalating costs of pet care in recent years. We really appreciated that rather than trying to sell us another package when we exhausted our first package's sessions, she encouraged us to practice what we've learned for a while, and reach out to her when we're ready for more assistance. “This is a wonderful place to board your pet. It's clean and has many play areas and the staff is very nice. I turned in the paperwork in advance so everything ran quick and smoothly the day I brought in by dog. They even provide the food with no extra charge. Pick up was also very quick and easy. “My dog Tsuki has been going here for two years and I've had nothing but great experiences. When my dog first started coming here she had unfortunate accident while playing and hurt her knee, the owner immediately contacted me and even comped us daycare visits. Overall I feel LA Dogworks truly cares about the animals they look after and go above and beyond to help.“

“We recently switched to Altadena pet hospital for our two dogs and two cats and we really love it. We used to go to a vet in echo park that while they had so many five star reviews, it felt like everytime we went we were seeing new doctors and having to re-explain our pets medical history. It also always felt like they cared more about the money than the well being of our pets. Dr. Sahi is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our cat has some chronic health issues and he has been very attentive with him - researching alternative treatment routes and finding the right path for him. He also will only recommend something if it's truly worth doing for your pet, rather than trying to upsell you unnecessary or risky treatment. They are a small town vet, so the waiting room is small, parking lot is small, and sometimes there is a longer wait to see the doctor - but I've always experienced great customer service and a super friendly staff. Anytime I call I am on hold for no more than a few minutes if at all - which is very rare for vets in this area. One of our dogs is also very nervous and dog reactive. They said he can wait in the car until his appointment time and then use the side entrance to avoid seeing other pups which we love. I talked to a few folks in the waiting room and one couple had been coming there for 13 years, and the other couple 10 years. That was a huge selling point for us!“

“I went to a hospital that didn't know how to do anything other than neutering, but my child was allergic, so I kept looking for the right hospital, so yesterday I went to Chateau Hospital for the first time. The Korean female doctor treated my child very kindly, and I left after paying half of the expected hospital fee. I recommended this place to a friend and was so satisfied that I told him to make a reservation right away.“
