I had no heat in my TINY house for at least three weeks. I called everyone I could think of, but I really didn't reach out to Huff because I thought they just worked in Tahoe (I'm in the trades, so I know basically everyone who works here on some basic level). I was using space heaters that were blowing up the fuses and I had to stay home every day to make sure that my pipes didn't freeze (which I was unsuccessful at ... I had to fix at least one frozen pipe that flooded out my under house pretty well). I called them and didn't mention I knew everyone who worked there, and they had someone come out that afternoon. I had called everyone else and no one was even hinting on coming for another month. The guy was super knowledgeable and was very proud of the work he did; having taken a dozen classes at least, on how to service this stuff. He fixed the heater, and the bill was very reasonable. When I moved to Reno almost every place I went to with bad service came with the caveat "you have to know someone." I mean my parents and I went to the same overpriced restaurant over and over again and got seated near the bathroom every time (Hey Galena Forest Inn, where are you these days ... gone). You shouldn't have to "know someone" to get good service.
The people at Huffs could not have been more wonderful, and I was really in trouble. A bear had taken out the duct work under the house, the heater failed and it was November! Not to worry, though. Huffs was on site within a day, and fixed everything, including issues we didn't even know were there. I cannot say enough about how great they are as a company, and how they saved the day when I was really in need!Services: Heating system maintenance
