Beware! Took the deposit and never returned! In good faith, as the contract was being negotiated on smaller items, the contractor insisted that I issued deposit check so that he can order the portable potty etc. However only after cashing the check , he informed me for bogus reasons that he is not willing to take the job. He unilaterally decided that I owe him $400 for his expenses so far. Please note that he was the one who refused the job. Inspite of that I was willing to make this concession as long as reimbursed me for the rooter expense that he had me to ( agreed upon item ) . However he refused to honor that and kept the $400.
