“I'm sitting in the plane as I'm writing this review. I called in twice today because I was worried about my cat very last minute before my flight and each time the staff and doctor took time to give me advice and ease my mind! We recently switched to SPAH and have only had good experiences here with people who genuinely care! Dr Navia and her team have been really good to us and generous with their time as well!! I feel like my pet is in good hands here and I feel supported as a pet mama with anxiety. Thank you!!“
“All of the staff were very compassionate, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Chang confidently diagnosed our dog's eye problem and provided helpful information regarding his care and treatment.“
“Certainly, I have always taken my cats to this particular veterinarian. I am very fond of them. They are exceptionally great, caring, and kind. They are also very helpful in providing medication guidance and explaining how it is intended to be used and when to administer it. Additionally, they offer valuable advice on dietary modifications for cats experiencing adverse reactions. I highly recommend this establishment and would wholeheartedly suggest that you consider visiting it. It is truly remarkable, and I believe you would find it equally beneficial.“
“They took care of my boy and he's doing so much better after seeing them. There's no other vet I'll be going to.“
“Have been taking my dog here since he was two months old, staff have been nothing but super helpful and caring to my fur baby“
“Took a stray cat here for a spay appointment. It was quick and reasonably priced. Cat recovered well without issues after the surgery.“
“Staff is super friendly. From the vet name but he was super funny and very knowledgeable“
“Been taking our small dog here for a year or so. Always had a good experience, they call us back in a timely manner, and the vet explains things clearly and transparently.“
“Staff is very friendly and they knowledgable. The dr easily identified the problem in my dog ( hernia) and was able to successfully do surgery to repair it. Beast (my dog) couldn't be happier thanks to them :)“
“I would like to share my incredible experience at Cahuenga Veterinary. It is, by far, the most wonderful hospital I've ever brought my dear dachshund Lucy to. Lucy had to have a radical surgery to remove numerous mammary tumors. I was terrified for her to have this surgery until I met the amazing Dr Pedraza. He is the most kind and compassionate doctor that I've ever encountered, as well as being a master of complex surgeries. I am so grateful that I found him! Dr. Pedraza also finds time in his hectic schedule to take care of homeless animals in need of his brilliant skills. What an awesome human being he is! Delaney, his wonderful nurse, was so reassuring and gentle with my Lucy. She assured me that she would stay by Lucy's side throughout the surgery, and she did! I knew that Lucy was in the best care ever. I only briefly met Dr. Christian, the owner of this wonderful clinic, but he must be an awesome doctor to bring together all of these incredibly skilled and compassionate doctors and nurses. I must also include dear Mystic in reception. Even with the phones ringing constantly, she found time to be warm and gracious to me. I would give 100 5- stars if I could!!“
“I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service.
The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable.
Both my furrbabies receive great care here!
My babygirl just got spayed & they called for a follow up , much appreciated.“
“Dr Hardy is the best! He has worked with 2 of my dog babies. He is patient, dog friendly, funny and super nice! His staff are also very good! 5 stars“
“Honest and affordable care. The dr immediately diagnosed and treated my pup's ear infection and you could see my dog's instant relief. So grateful to have access to this local vet. Definitely recommend! (And please support small businesses!)“
“Recently moved to Lakewood and found Lakewood pet vet was happy with how they take care of my goldendoodle and wheaten. Now we added a mini dachshund and met Dr. Ryan! He is absolutely amazing he knew right away that our new puppy had worms from the moment he saw him. He is very thorough and explains everything. You can tell he truly cares for animals and wants to help you and your pets. Thank you Dr. Ryan!“
“I can't say enough about the amazing team at BARC. My senior French Bulldog Kirby goes for physical therapy and acupuncture and they have provided top notch care. She recently had an IVDD flare up and bounced right back which I believe is due to the care she has received during preventative PT and accupuncture sessions. It's amazing to see my dog getting bursts of puppy energy due to the program here. Everyone on staff is always so perceptive to the pets' needs as they evolve. The entire team is also simply wonderful, caring, and kind. They have created a very positive environment. Thank you BARC!“
“Everyone is stellar at their job. It's a place where every piece of the puzzle is fully functional and qualified to make wonderful and sometimes impossible things happen. The vets are really good. They saved my dogs (I have 3) from tumor surgery removal to chronic kidney overview care, pain management for my dogs, personal advice on quality of life and the list goes on. I trust each and every 1 of the doctors and have a soft spot for the eldest of them. The staff: Reign, Jacob and every single nurse/front desk personnel is efficient, knowledgeable and deeply empathetic. I would never leave a review for anything but for my team at this vet office i HAVE to! Ladies, you are incredible and doctors you are well deserved of praise! thank you PLB vet for your contribution to our local community. I wish I could return a fraction of the positive influence you guys had in my life. THANK TOU, thank you, thank you!“
“The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.“
“Very caring staff the Dr. was very kind. Told me he didn't want to waste my money repeating tests I already had done.“
“My mixed breed dog came from the time he was 4 months old until he passed at age 13 1/2 years-old from genetic complications and old age. I owe a great deal of his good health to Centinela Animal Hospital. While I see other people had less ideal experiences, I had the complete opposite and agree with all the positive reviews. I recommend every single pet owner I know to Centinela. I want to share my experience in the hopes of encouraging people to use their veterinary care: When I first adopted my dog, my number one goal was to have his whole health in mind. This hospital was recommended to me by the rescuer who I adopted him from. I was looking for conventional veterinary care in conjunction with holistic care and Dr. Palmquist is a leader in this approach. His book, "Releasing Your Pet's Hidden Health Potential," I found to not only be ahead of its time but also spoke to the kind of relationship I wanted with my dog having come from a childhood of backyard dogs who were barely taken to the vet or fed in an appropriate way. I understand that caring for pets is costly. And many people who adopt are limited in what they can provide for their animals yet still give them loving homes. I was privileged and lucky to be able to approach my dog's health in the way that I did. I also got pet insurance that covered our yearly vet visits and it came in really handy when my dog needed more care. But what was surprising is that many of the tips and advice I got from the doctors at Centinela was practical and incredibly cost effective, preventing me from having more costly care in the long run. As a puppy Dr. Johnson noticed my pup had a genetic heart murmur and she kept an eye on it while encouraging me to be vigilant as well. I followed her advice. Because of it I was able to catch early signs of complications in his last year and a half which allowed Centinela to refer us to another hospital for their cardiology department. They worked side-by-side. They were in constant communication about my dog's heart condition, medications, x-rays and ECGs. As his heart disease progressed, Dr. Palmquist continually encouraged me to trust the advice and treatments from my dog's cardiologist. Dr. Johnson also noticed early signs of spinal issues when he was a pup because of my dog's anatomy. With an X-Ray she could tell his spine was starting to wear down when he was young because he liked to play hard and hike. She warned me about IVDD, prescribing the use of dog ramps while monitoring activity that would lead to slipped discs. During his life, my dog only had two spine flare ups. When he did Dr. Palmquist prescribed pain medication, rest, plus herbs that helped my dog not only bounce back but supported key organs in his recovery. In my dog's last six months, his genetic predispositions and age started to present much bigger issues. Dr. Palmquist prescribed supplements and herbs that supported my dog's brain and specific organs as they started to work harder due to his medications. It kept my dog's energy levels high. By his happiness, playfulness and stamina, no one could tell that my dog was dealing with any health issues -- not even my dog who kept doing every activity he loved within reason. In fact many people would stop us to ask how old he was because he acted more like a puppy. In the last month of his life, my dog's health took sharp turn. It was uncertain whether he could or would recover. It was heart breaking and emotional. Dr. Palmquist was incredibly empathetic. Though he hoped we would still have a few more years, Dr. Palmquist gave me advice that prepared me for the inevitable while also telling me to enjoy every day my dog and I had left together. And we did. When my dog passed, the doctors sent me sympathy cards. In all the years that we were here, Dr. Palmquist, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Orme each examined my sweet boy and gave him the best quality of care. The whole staff -- front desk assistants, vet techs and vet assistants -- every person was compassionate, helpful and car“
“Have been bringing my dog here for about 6-7 years now. Sure their procedure to be seen can be a little silly but I think they are the best vet around and the prices are great. My insurance never has a problem covering any of their fees.“
“I truly didn't have high expectations, and considered this vet something like a VCA chain. I took my puppy in due to an exam needed and an issue with her dewclaw. Her vet has been in LA since I got her but it's too much of a drive I've done for small things she's needed, so this place was a great distance from me and I kept getting emails to try them from Petco so we gave them a chance. Making an appointment was super easy, all done online. We may have gotten super lucky, because the vet technician and the vet himself were awesome like 5 stars just for their service alone; I've seen some bad reviews and personally I don't like this Petco location at all. The self serve treats are covered in spiderwebs and half the staff has an issue 24/7, to name a few issues. This led me to not expect much from this hospital attached to them. Experiencing the care that our sweet vet technician and Dr. Collins provided, was refreshing and so rare in todays society. They made my girl feel so comfortable, and myself as well. I was so nervous as to what she needed upon discovering the injury to her dewclaw, as well as what the bill would look like. Due to privacy concerns and not wanting to possibly get anyone in trouble, all I can say is that they went above and beyond to help us. They showed us grace and I can't thank them enough for doing everything possible to help me with this visit. My girl left the vet completely unphased with a smile on her face and some antibiotics. I do want to and NEED to comment on the way Dr. Collins assessed everything I brought up. I went to another vet previous to this one and she completely disregarded my concern, which Dr. Collins emphasized and confirmed WAS/IS a real issue and prescribed a solution to! The other vet made me feel I was overreacting and Dr. Collins provided some relief by explaining what was happening to my dog and what was needed. This is a doctor I felt so comfortable leaving in control of my dogs health. I greatly appreciate this and look forward to bringing her back to see him again. If you need to see a vet and are concerned about care and cost, try giving Vetco a chance. A small, local, hospital that really cares about your pet and has professionals ready to help.“
“Very good experience. Dr. Eun thoroughly checked over my dog and took the time to explain the conditions my dog was dealing with. It makes sense that the word 'affordable' is in the name of this facility, because the out the door cost with exam and treatment was exactly that, AFFORDABLE! I am happy with my experience and would gladly recommend them to others.“
“Nice staff clean facility. Ample parking at the site. Dr Sofia is excellent in her care.“
