Came here twice today, once for a follow up appointment this morning and then this evening to pick up prescriptions. This morning I was standing in the check-in line (for the check-in with humans) and looking over at the check-in kiosks wondering how hard they could be. A very friendly staff member noticed me looking and helped me at the kiosk. I actually didn't really have to do anything, she did all the button pushing and told me when to type in my Kaiser # and where to put my credit card for the appt co-pay. Very painless and fast. Plus the kiosk didn't frown disapprovingly that I was 5 minutes late.Then this afternoon I was rushing back before the pharmacy closed at 5pm. I had already mentally prepared myself that I would be turned away at the door if I wasn't there at least 10 minutes before closing time. I sauntered in at 4:58 and the security guard didn't blink an eye. The pharmacy staff checked me in and said it would be 15 to 20 minutes. Nobody was rushing anyone out of there or giving them the evil eye. I thanked the staff when I paid for staying late and she said they stay until every person is helped. It was so refreshing to have that great customer service.

I'll let you in on a little secret.. Huntington Beach's Kaiser is superior. While Kaiser has always offered access to incredible doctors and therapists, their facilities can be a little intimidating. I used to find myself overwhelmed by the idea of booking an appointment at Kaiser Permanente - mainly because I've frequented the Riverside and Santa Ana locations in the past. All has changed since I've stepped foot into the HB Kaiser. This location is small and almost feels like a local doctors office. It's easy to swoop by the pharmacy or receive a lab in under 20 minutes.This location has really changed the healthcare game for me. The only downside is their limited hours and that they're closed on the weekends.

Huge shout out to nurse jeo. I was having a very stressful time due to my primary doctor filling out a dmv form that was not needed and her team did not help with the process of finding the form I need to fix that. Jeo picked up the call back number i received from those nurses and spent half an hour with me on the phone helping me find the form. He was 1000 times more helpful than those other nurses and deserves all the props!! I don't even go to this Kaiser specifically, but now I may switch it up because of him. Thank you Jeo!
