Katie is an outstanding yoga instructor. Her depth of knowledge about the different modalities of yoga, the poses and the human body is extensive. She is an excellent coach and motivator with boundless energy and positive suggestions. She can be goal oriented in helping you achieve poses that will do the most benefit for your body without injury. Her sole objective is to help you into a state of optimal health. I had the gift of being able to attend Katie's January 2019 yoga retreat in Uluwatu Bali with a group of 8 other people. It was thoughtful, mindful and appropriately intense at times. Not only did we do yoga 2 times a day or more, we also attended cultural events, experienced the household and culture of a Balinese family and enjoyed an epic detox party. Katies expertise as a synchronized swimmer and championship synchronized swimming coach for 15 years easily translated into demanding aqua yoga workouts. I think we did some of each of the following styles of yoga: Yin, Arial, Vinyasa, Aqua, and Restorative. Katie included mindfulness and education in the 2-2.5 hour morning workouts. It was a fantastic way to gain strength and get back into yoga by addressing every area of my body. Thank you Katie for an awesome retreat! I look forward to the next one!
