“I've been coming here every ~3 weeks for the last 6 months and could not be happier! BACK STORY: I've been getting gel manicures since college but noticed over time that my nails were getting really thin and brittle from the harsh removal process (i.e., soaking in acetone then scraping the gel off the nail bed). I tried acrylics on a whim one day a few years ago which DESTROYED my nails and I stopped getting manicures for about a year to let my nails heal. Before restarting the manicures, I researched a lot and decided to do dip manicures because they were supposedly healthier than gel... but I had no idea how to take care of my dip nails and would get my dip nails redone (i.e., taken off then reapplied) every single time which left my nails battered once more and left me thinking that dip wasn't much different from gel. Fast forward to last year and I'm back to doing gel manicures again which is taking its toll on my nails (tale as old as time). I go to a different nail salon near my parents' for some holiday nails and they specialize in "dip with gel." I've never heard of this before and inquire... and basically they put dip powder over your nail bed, put gel OVER that dip powder, and then every time you come in, they just take the gel (that's over the dip powder) off and then put a fresh coat of gel over the dip powder again, which leaves your nail bed intact. GUYS........ THIS WORKS!!!! My original dip from the holiday season lasted 5 months (!!!) and that entire time, I came here every ~2.5-3 weeks for a "dip fill w/ gel" which consists of: - Taking off any gel that's been applied over the dip powder - Fixing any lifting in the dip powder - Filling in the nail that had grown with more dip powder - Applying new gel over the dip fill I usually call for an appointment same day and they can usually squeeze me in that afternoon, but best bet is to make an appointment in advance (I should probably be doing that) since there are only two people who can do dip: Katie (the owner, she's really fast) and Natalie (so so soooo sweet, she's super meticulous)! PARKING: Super small parking lot in front of the store that's shared with a few other places, free street parking on PCH otherwise. I've been able to park in their lot ~50-75% of the time.“

“Pedicure done by the gentlest hands. I get overwhelmed by touch and sometimes require breaks when having a pedicure but she was understanding and wonderful from beginning to end. I almost asked if she would do my manicure (I never get one)!“

It was one of the kids birthdays and Jack (nail salon owner or employee?) turned on a fun, happy birthday song and we sang happy birthday. The girls loved it!! Also, one of the girls accidentally knocked off a nail polish bottle and it broke on the floor. Jack was so sweet and gracious about it as he quickly cleaned it up with a smile. Today was my first time here and O thought the service was great and the manicure and pedicure were perfectly done (and quick!). 2 separate people from the front desk offered me a beverage (they offer water, tea or coffee) and they even gave a drink to the mail delivery person when they came to drop their mail (so nice)! Also the price is super affordable especially given that this is on the beach. I got a new gel X set with gel polish and a gel polish change for my toes - came out to $120. I'll definitely be back!“

“I stopped in randomly just needing a pedicure & gel removal at 6pm driving down artesia. Kim did a great job on the pedicure. Hannah removed my previous gel manicure very well. Reason for 1 star off:
It was partly my mistake I did not clarify the gel removal price - but they tried to charge me for a $25 manicure when I clearly didn’t get color/ask for a manicure.“
