I wanted to wait to write my review until I had gone here at least 5 times. I get my gel manicure done like clock work every 2 weeks and a Gel Pedi every 1 month, so it's super important for me to be really happy with service, cost, hygiene and of course, performance. I had gone to my nail place in Castro Valley for years, and I was just getting tired of their laziness and customer service, so I decided to try and find somewhere more convenient and close to home, in hopes it would be my new spot! I'm so happy I found Bee Nail Bar! It is a very intimate salon and I've only had Trang and Bill do my Gel Mani and Gel Pedi and I have left happy every single time. They really try and remember their customer's names and are so personable when you come in. They have a huge selection of Gel colors, so you never feel limited on your choices. Although I have many areas I am happy with, a couple of things really stand out. I love how they use a primer and really make sure your nail bed is thoroughly cleaned, dried and primed before starting your Gel application. Believe it or not, this isn't very common now a days. They also really focus on the Gel not touching your cuticle, so that your gel doesn't start lifting a couple days after having them done (this was a huge issue at my former nail salon). They also use plastic linings on each customers bowl when they start a pedicure. Another perk is, they have a customer stamping card! So if you're like me and continuously having nail appointments, getting a free service every now and then, really helps. I no longer get acrylics, but I do see how awesome customers nails look when leaving the salon. Great, timely service with a smile and lovely atmosphere...def my new spot!! Happy I found one in the eastbay so I don't have to go into sf anymore. Not over priced at all, tip your manicurist ;)
I am extremely picky when it comes to pedicures and I must say I am obsessed with Bee Nail Bar!! Let's start with their set up, they have the cutest bar top and high chairs for the ultimate nail experience. The pedicure bowls have cleaner in them when not in use and they wrap them before each pedicure. Unlike most places, they don't skimp on the foot run and my polish is always perfect when they're done. The only challenge is trying to walk in without at least calling ahead, other than that Bee Nail Bar is where it's at!!!
