I thought that I was suffering from migraines, my family doctor treated me with pain meds...finally, I decided to check my vision to see if there was a problem. Dr. Hagele took me right in, he immediately diagnosed me with glaucoma which he said that the pressure, usually with glaucoma, was 12-15, mine was well over 50. He rushed me through blood tests, gave me pressure meds, and sent me directly to a specialist in Roseville. I had surgery right away but still lost my vision in one eye.
If not for Dr. Hagele, I would have continued to suffer.
I still go to Dr. Hagele for routine care. I also have glaucoma in my other eye, with cataracts. Will need surgery soon for that side.
Honestly, had I not seen Dr. Hagele, I don't know if I would have just continued to listen to my family doctor and end up blind in both eyes.
Dr. Hagele even offered to give me his cell phone number so that I could reach him if needed.
I appreciate that kind of care. It isn't common. He was sincerely concerned.
I highly recommend Dr. Hagele and the Sierra View Eye Care staff. They also test for and sell glasses.
Dr. Hagele is an exceptional, kind, thoughtful ophthalmologist/doctor! He has great expertise and wide knowledge along with compassion. He takes time to think about and evaluate each patient's needs carefully. This doctor listens to his patients, working hard to find a solution. In my case this was so important; he made a change in medication for my eye surgery which made helped me be successful all around. Then I got more advice later from him which made perfect sense to me! Dr. Hegale made my life better!! He would be perfect ophthalmologist for you, too!!
Everyone from the front desk staff to Doc Hagele himself were all friendly and wonderful. The extra over the top precautions for Covid seemed a bit much but certainly understandable these days. I’ve found my new eye doc home!
