He did not inspire confidence. The Chinese herb blends he sells are crazy expensive and seemed like gouging. It seems like he's more of a Homemade Chinese Herb salesman than an acupuncturist?

I went with an open mind and great thoracic pain. This doctor never Made eye contact with me but did ask where my pain was. He placed 1 needle in the middle of my forhead, then too, out his black marker pen and made multiple dots on both my arms with instructions to tap on the dots with the soft end of a pen three times continuously and to come back in 3 days. I did,and when I returned he never said much to me and spent all my appt time with the man who came in after me! He billed my insurance $340.67, and was paid! I didn't go back. I found another acupuncturist who is a dream and obviously loves his job.

Before I went to Dr Seok I had gone to different doctors in Santa Monica and had undergone years and years of trying to heal myself from pain, discomfort, and even debilitating issues. I was broken in many ways in my body and was unable to walk without orthodics from my early 50's. Not fun for someone who loves hiking! No one was able to help and even just before meeting Dr Seok, a Dr down the street told me he could not do anything for me. I have tried pills, I was offered shots but that's not my style, I did physical therapy for over 10 hours a week each week for years. Nothing really worked. Everyone of those doctors thought they had the truth about how to help me (or not). If you are like me, pain had changed my temperament, my outlook on life and I had to remove many activities out of my life for years. I originally came to Dr Seok with problems with my breathing, my nose, my foot due to trauma, my back due to being a former athlete and digestive issues. I question everything always. Then I found Dr Seok. Dr.Seok is an extremely talented and experienced doctor. I cannot say enough. Here is what works. First you have to get into the mindset that you can heal. That it's possible. Dr Seok treatment is for you if you are willing to have an open mind at first. The philosophy may be a complete opposite to Western medicine. After the first visit, I was really surprised by the process and I thought about it. I talked with a few friends and my therapist and I chose to give it a chance. I believed he would help me. Also, I'd say that this treatment is for you if you are willing to learn and question what you already know in terms of healing. This treatment for you if you are willing to make healthy changes in your life. The path to be pain free may involve pain at first. Do you really have pain? If yes, this is for you. Do you really want to heal? Listen and do what the Dr explains to you if you want to heal and alleviate pain. I have understood that the process of healing is a mindset that is a combination of patience, integrity, understanding (it took a long time to have the health problems I have, so it takes time to heal), I have compassion for myself. Three and a half months later: I have results happening after taking action: I am experiencing a real reduction in my pains and I know the treatment isn't finished. Everything is way better now, about 70-90%, depending on the issue. Now I am able to be myself again, enjoy life, I can laugh again and go out. I am going back to the activities I love and as a result I am more relaxed and happier. I can have projects. I am so grateful to Dr Seok! I am so happy I said yes to myself to go see him!
