“Getting an appointment is difficult most times. I used to go twice per month like clockwork, but when the massage therapist took some time off, it's been hard getting back in on the day's I desire. On another note, the service is great and the place is very clean, quaint and I love it.“

Gardena Women Sauna Massage

“Great place to get scrubbed down clean like my mom used to do for me when I was little. The ladies who work there are older matronly women who know the traditional way to scrub clean. Love that its female only spa, so I dont have to worry about men near me when Im sleeping alone in a room. If only if were Asian only. The non-Asian (culture) women are loud and kind of dirty. They don't shower down thoroughly, they just rinse, and they chat like needy chatty Kathys. I go to spas by myself to relax. Non-Asians go there in herds and its annoying when they're loud. Anyway, I like the scrubs and tip $20 if I feel the lady is doing a thorough job and gentle about it. They usually are, so $20 tips are given. The spa only gives you two hand towels and one large towel. If you're going to use the heat rooms, then you should bring your own towel if you can't stand the hot floor. This place has a salt bath at medium temperature that other spas dont have. There a cold bath, a tepid bath, and a boiling bath. You're not allowed to wear swimsuits but I would have liked to wear swim underwear because I dont want my skin to touch where other women sat. The bath amenities they provide are: shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. There's toothpaste in the bathroom, and Im glad they keep it there. At the Riviera, the women brush their teeth in the shower and spit on the floor. The spa provides water but may not have enough cups so bring a small water bottle with you. There's a blow dryer, and brushes for you to use, but I dont use the brushes. They also have kleenex tissue and ear swabs for you to use. There's no food court to eat, but you can bring your own food and eat at the tables upstairs that's next to a cafe that provide noodles and coffee for purchase. The locker rooms and bath areas are on the first floor, and the heat rooms and cafe are on the second floor. So shower first before doing everything else so remove your dirt and body oils before sweating out on the shared room mats, and shower before you go in the hot tubs. Dont wear outdoor slippers in the shower areas because you'll be tracking in dirt everywhere where everyone else's is walking barefoot on. A change I would like is for them to copy Riveria and have a shoe locker in the hallway before entering lockers and dressing room.“
