Handy Danny recently replaced all the doors in our house, updated the door casings, and painted—and we couldn’t be happier with the results. “The legalization or our circa 1949 338 sq. ft. JADU was a project proposal that few would even consider bidding. The preferred solution was demolition and new build. But our preference was the legalization of the existing structure. After engineering and County plan approval, we went to bid and chose John Christopher Construction as bid and project managed by Chris Manos. This project had several difficult nuances. The Foundation needed to be retrofitted without demolishing the structure. Unique is the Fotile in-counter dishwasher that makes functional space use of the corner countertop. Throughout Chris maintained communication and came through with solutions that brought our circa 1949 JADU into 2023 legal status with a fresh and updated style. Chris and his team saw the project through to milestone goal completion. Our JADU is permitted by the County, has a certificate of occupancy, and looks great!“
