My name is Darryl Wright also known as DeeJay. I’m a licensed barber in Fresno, Ca. and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years. As a young kid one of my favorite cousins Marion Nelson was a barber here in Fresno at Mr. Fro’s Barbershop located in the heart of the City. Watching her execute was something different, almost as if I was captivated. It wowed me how she restored confidence from a simple haircut. The conversations, the game, the lessons as well as the ability to cultivate relationships were all facets that gravitated me towards becoming a Barber. Once I received my license, as she did, I too began my journey at Mr. Fro’s Barbershop. Where I worked alongside Alphonzo Oliver and the late Lee Fane.
