We just bought a house on the Mendocino Coast. Gorgeous views, right on the beach, but very damp. Pre-sale Pest Inspection was conducted by Mendo-Lake Termite, and they did a great job. Notified us of several issues we needed to get in front of. Today, Allen and Bobby came out to do all the recommended work. They were GREAT. Very friendly, (but appropriately COVID-careful), efficient, and handled everything. They both took the time to explain all the work, how long treatments last, what to expect going forward, what I could do to keep things clean/pest free etc. And they cleaned up everything when they were done, including our big picture windows that got some of the treatment on them. Great job Allen and Bobby, and Mendo-Lake Termite.
Ben and his team at Gonzalez Construction did a great job for me. Ben came and looked at the project, took notes then sent me a written quote the next day. The job was a kitchen remodel including built-in bookshelves. Well- could not have been more pleased with the outcome. My kitchen is my dream kitchen and having all my cookbooks organized and handy is the cherry on top! I will use them again. Clearly, professional, with attention to detail that I have not seen in years.
Get the Pedi deluxe, all I can say. Just do it

Dana & his crew helped me w a project. Entire build of a 3/2 home w an attached garage. They did an excellent job. Quick clean & efficient. Good energy, lots of smiles & fun to be around. Dana used to work for my father decades ago & my dad spoke very highly of his work ethic. That’s still true today. When this project came up, Jess Construction was my first choice. When I do another one, I’ll be calling them again. Very pleased w the job they did.

Jennifer does amazing work. After years of hip pain and doctors telling me I might need a hip replacement, after just a couple of visits with Jennifer, she identified the root cause and directed me to an excellent doctor and with physical therapy, the issue was resolved. I continued utilizing Jennifer's bodywork to keep my body in optimal condition. I highly recommend her services.

The Medina Painting crew did an amazing-excellent job on my auto repair shop. The shop is a 50 year old metal building that has wood covering two sides. They restored the outside so well, I had no idea it could look this good again. The building had rust along the bottom of one metal side. I had no idea how this could be fixed, but they figured it out, and it looks fantastic. All the wood repairs and replacements went perfectly well. The crew was always courteous, knowledgeable, and they cleaned up the entire work site every night before leaving. To say I'm happy is an understatement. I absolutely recommend these guys.

Gary Mann has painted 3 houses for us, several rooms, and a set of aluminum patio furniture. He is a diligent professional and strives for perfection in his work. He is very good at research, prep and cleaning up after too. I recommend Gary for any paint job.

Best place to get tattooed, hands down! Go see Niki Needles who's been there for over 12yrs and does phenomenal work! She's done all 3 of my tattoos (I only started when I was 49) & she's done a piece a year!
Cleanliness: Only sterile needles are ever used, no matter the size and the attention to sanitization is to be complimented!
Stylist: Niki Needles is a true master with all aspects! She has taken a 2 dimension piece of custom art made by a best friend of mine and she truly gave it 3 dimensions and a life of it's own beyond my wildest expectations! She really listens to exactly what you picture in your mind. Any piece you bring in, she'll add that extra something you didn't even know was missing! And honestly, she's incredibly gentle, even with those deep colors!

My husband worked for the Anderson Valley School District for 32 years. We were in the market for a whole house propane generator and called a retired electrician in our area, Bryan Wyatt Electric to see who he would recommend, Bryan gave my husband two referrals both in Fort Bragg, I called them both, one never even had the courtesy of returning my call, I'm so glad they didn't. North Coast Refrigeration and Electric return my call within an hour, the owner Gail Clark asked me where I lived and said that he would be here to look at our situation and give us a bid, he figure out everything we needed and gave us a price before he left, I received an email with a contract, proposal in writing the next day. I called Gail Clark the next day told him we would like to put a deposit and have the generator installed, he then transferred me to his wife, "Nicci Clark" she took my credit card information and said to me, you and I will be talking often, I will contact PG&E and arrange for them to be there the day we install the generator. I had a call from Nicci as well as an email to let me know that she was having someone come over to pour a cement pad and when that person would be here. A gentleman by the name of Cory was here to pour the cement, he was friendly, professional and very efficient. The next call I got from North Coast Refrigeration and Electric was with a date of when the generator was being installed, PG&E was here and three gentlemen from NCR&E to do the installation, they all worked non-stop for about four hours, they each knew what they had to do and no one got in each other's way, when they completed the installation they went over how the system works, they explain in detail and tried out the generator as if the power had been turned off. I don't often take the time to write reviews but since I was in retail myself for over thirty years, customer service is something I notice and value, this company went above and beyond our expectations and would recommend them to anyone that needs a whole house propane generator or any other of services they provide. We hired Superior to develop a new well and to rationalize a complicated setup using three separate wells to supply dedicated domestic and agg water systems across our multi -acre property. Superior delivered excellent results with each well seamlessly serving its primary role PLUS serving as a backup for the alternative system in the case any well or pump failed in the future. Here is a place that has been involved òn the Coast for years. When you walk in the owner speaks to you like she has been your friend for years. Locals state this place as one of their favorites. Location, location, location. Located near Purity supermarket this place has plenty of parking. Walk ins are welcome but give the common curiosity and make appointments. The quality of cut here has a high rating amongst locals.
Both my friend and I came to Fort Bragg for a weekend dance event and badly needed a haircut. That is when we stumbled upon this local hair salon. They were closed when we stepped in but Denise decided to take us in as her last customers. Thanks God she did because we got our best haircut here. Denise is not just a hairdresser but also an artist who creates cute and original voodoo dolls/ stuffed animals for art collectors and her works are displayed on the wall in the Albion post office. Her approach to hairstyling emulates her art creation to ensure each customer gets the best haircut/style that looks good best for his/her feature, personality, and preferences. I am definitely saving this place as a must visit for a quick update of my hair any time I come to the Mendocino coast area.
These guys do good work, and they are in high demand. You know the saying "you get what you pay for." If you want this best, this is your crew. Very profession, clean, and organized. Once the job was started it was completed very quickly.
If you are building on the coast in any capacity, please call them. They were absolutely invaluable and made an incredibly intimidating process seem absolutely doable. Id make it rain with more stars if I cold. Cannot recommend enough. Professional and kind.

Don is a very honest business owner and is extremely talented. He is a one man shop and anyone who who has done any type of car restoration knows the time it takes, however he only charges for the time he physically is working on a clients car.

Dr. Ries is not only very professional ..he is kind and after 2 visits I’m feeling so much better! He’s an amazing healer and really cares about the whole person. I went from stooped over to standing straight. I have a plan now for treatment that will really benefit my overall health. I am very grateful as I suffered from severe pain and the anxiety that comes from that trauma. I feel safe and cared for. ❤️

Broken down on the highway in the boonies on a Sunday, I was saved by the best tow truck driver ever, Bryan Stencil. He is so kind, thoughtful and professional. Bryan made sure my four legged traveling companion and I were safe and comfortable throughout our journey. I appreciate that his boss offered to fix my car, but I was already heading to my long time mechanic when my clutch finally failed. This trip was over two days, and Bryan ensured we were safely housed in a nice motel that he informed me will be covered by AAA through 'trip interruption' coverage. Because I travel the 101 corridor often, I kept Bryan's card and know that if we have trouble in the future, the capable folks at Smith Auto will be there for us. Truly above and beyond service. I'd give Bryan more stars if I could!
I called north coast plumbing and heating because my water heater burst I cannot live without water they came the next day and were quick and efficient

Leaves carpet very clean and nearly dry. Has huge fans to ensure quick overnight drying. In our busy Home Style Cafe this is a big job & Dwain Ray does it well. Our drawback was new seating was heavy & he didnt want to move it. So i made other arrangements. I highly recommend his services, though.

Jason Marion / Computer Rescue has rescued me and my computers several times over the last ~10 years. He's a very skilled and completely trustworthy IT analyst, advisor, and repairer. He communicates clearly, takes my financial and usage priorities into account, is up to date on all the things I don't want to be up to date on, and makes suggestions clearly. Most recently, (September 2024) he helped me figure out which laptop would make the most sense for me; ordered it, and set it up for me. I'm thrilled with the laptop and with Jason's care in ensuring that I have all my must-haves from the old laptop. It's very reassuring knowing Jason is there for any computer issues that come up.

I have received the best haircuts thus far in my life from Tania here at Scissorhandz. She's let me know what my hair type would do with different hairstyles and thus what would be necessary for me to obtain said hairstyle daily. She has a lifetime of experience and has always been very kind, gentle and humorous with me. The salon is clean, well stocked in hair products for sale and usually quite booked. Call in advance to make an appointment!

My car battery died on the day after Thanksgiving and everyone else around was closed. I was so grateful that Nancy at Orca Towing was working. She immediately drove over in her truck and jumpstarted my car. She was was extremely friendly and efficient, and even gave me tips for the future (I'm not very car savvy...). I'd highly recommend this place!
We are full-time RV travelers so we see a different laundromat every two weeks. This is BY FAR THE BEST laundromat that we've used of about 50 over the course of two years. I can't say enough positive about this place - fair prices, modern machines that all work, plenty of large folding tables, and SPOTLESSLY clean!

I just wanted to make a special review for Dr Kim ~ He is a Dentist at the Mendocino Coast Clinic. I told him I wanted do something that lets the world know that he is appreciated and shortly after I had gotten so busy with life that I had forgotten over and over until now to sit down and write this.
Dr Kim is a Master at his craft ~ I told him while observing him working on my sons teeth how much I am grateful from my heart for his true honor and love and respect he seems to give to each individual patient.
Even though he is one of the only Dentists in the office and has patients lined up to see him; He patiently worked on my son and made *Certain* With Love - The job was done properly.
I explained to him that I am a Master Healer and Teacher and I honor the work that he does and how he treats each individual patient and his assistant explained to me that that is how he teaches her to be and the others in the office; She said “He tells us to treat every single one of them as if they are your son or your mother or your grandfather because it could be them one day and how would you want them to be treated.”
I give Honor where Honor is due. Dr Kim is of excellence. I highly recommend. ✨

Tara is the best! I didn't have an appointment, yet Tara cut my hair same day. She did a wonderful job. The next day I went in for a Mani-Pedi and I loved the experience. I will definitely go back. I recommend the Beauty Bar to all y'all.
Alex and Jeff collaborated in a seamless dance to recreate our 100 year old front room. For some unknown reason, previous owner(s) had layered some really tacky wallpaper and drop down ceilings over the original redwood. Jeff efficiently stripped away the decades of poor choices, while protecting our furniture from damage, and brought to life the stunning original beauty that had been hidden. I had foolishly underestimated the exorbitant cost of crown moulding. I'm not a rich person and cost matters. Alex worked out a creative solution with me that slashed the costs of material. He developed a way to take shiplap and turn it into crown moulding! To put this into perspective, the raw material for the crown moulding would have cost a staggering $700+. With Alex's creative solution, the material cost was only around $250! They were punctual, professional, and got the job done for the exceedingly reasonable price that I had been quoted. My wife had been away on vacation and she came home to a brand new front room. She was so happy. We will be turning to Perfection next time that we have handyman needs. They truly lived up to their name.
