From Suzuki Piano Academy
We teach the Suzuki Piano method to ages 3 and up in a nurturing, yet traditional approach to the piano. The Suzuki method enlists the help of parent and teacher to form a triangle of support with the student. Suzuki students love to perform as they learn by observation and imitation. Every lesson is incremental and repetitive for building true mastery and great technique. Creating true ownership of their skill is easy with the Suzuki piano method. Parents use recordings of the Suzuki books to institute a listening program in the home. Students are encouraged to practice every day or to listen/sing along with the Suzuki recordings daily when practice is not possible. With the help of parent and teacher, students grow in confidence!
I have enjoyed the Suzuki approach more than any other method I have tried. As a child, I was never taught to really master piano, but in the Suzuki method, each step is carefully taught so that I can confidently build on it. My teacher has helped me to achieve a higher level of performance and ability than I EVER thought possible. I now participate in a statewide music test successfully for the last 5 years.
My son has been in Suzuki piano since he was 3 and the teachers are wonderful. Even when he comes at his most rambunctious, they help him to focus and make it fun. We are so grateful to have found an early music influence that he enjoys!
