“I wanted to book a facial for myself and a friend - as a gift to the friend. I live in the Bay Area so we had some trouble coordinating a common time. When we suddenly found ourselves free the same weekend, I called Tanya Martin (found via Google) to see if there was any chance of getting a spot for 2 only 5 days away. Initially I left a message, which was returned in less than 30 min. Holly was fantastic, suggesting the best facial for someone who doesn't get facials. She worked closely with me over the next few hours via texts and managed to get us into a spot from a cancellation. My facial with Melanie was fantastic. She provided me with a microderm+enzyme+LED facial My skin still feels smooth 4 days later! Melanie was so kind, knowledgeable and gentle. My friend said the same with the person she saw. I would not hesitate to go again, I was made to feel special from the moment we walked in. I highly recommend this place!!“

“I had a wonderful first-time float experience with Cloud 9 Float + Spa! I was a bit nervous at first, but after being warmly welcomed by Gaby and her thorougly explaining the process, I felt at ease. You literally don't need to bring anything. They have everything you need. I only brought my own hair brush, but that's about it. No swimsuit is needed either. It was a private room with a shower and a float tub. I've heard of enclosed float pods, which sounds scary to me, so I appreciated the open float tub. You put the provided ear plugs in before showering and going into the float tub. There is a ring "pillow" that could be used for supporting your head to float. I had to use that on and off until I could get my neck in a comfortable floating position. I liked the blue light in the tub, I wasn't brave enough for complete darkness and not that I knew how to turn it off anyway. You have the option to turn off the music via Alexa, which I at least did to try to somewhat get some sensory deprivation. So, no swimsuit was actually a good thing in aiding no sense of touch on my skin or having to worry about washing all the salt off of it afterward. The float itself was so cool. I loved the no gravity feeling. Weightless relaxation. The tub is large enough to have my arms and legs fully extended. I just had to center and adjust myself if I felt the tub wall until the water calmed, and then I was able to just float and stay in place. I'm not good at mediating and shutting off my thinking brain, so it did take me a while to relax. I definitely could see the benefits later down the road with multiple sessions. The time went by so fast! The ceiling lights will slowly turn on when it is time to get out and shower. Overall, I had a very positive first-timer experience! I felt so relaxed after. Would I do it again? I would like to, but to me it's expensive. But hey, maybe I need to prioritize more self-care in my life. The first float is $50. Then it's $84 for a single 60-minute float. Maybe if there's a good black friday deal later or something, I'd do it.“

“I had originally approached Jenna to treat my teenage son and daughter for acne. However Jenna didn't stop at just acne, she tailored an overall custom skincare routine for each kid, and her charges were consistent regardless of what how many methods were used to combat my kids various seasonal/hormonal changes. For example my daughter had some broken capillaries on her face, and she was able to resolve the issue within one visit, w/o any extra charges. My kids both have monthly visits with Jenna for almost a year now, and their skin can't thank her enough. Not to mention the skincare education she helps promote. Sometimes the mom sounds like a broken record. So it is good I have one less thing to nag the kids about.“

“My husband booked me a Facial and Massage for Mother's Day. The duration was both 60 minutes each. I had the Facial first. I think her name was Jennifer and she was awesome! My mother-in-law told me my skin was glowing and my complexion looked so good and smooth afterwards. I had a lot of congestion and she removed a lot of impurities in my skin. My skin was so smooth afterwards. She wore gloves and also put my hair back in a towel. It was a little different from what I am used to with the steam in my face, but it felt nice and very cooling on a hot summer day. She left to see if there was enough time to do one more thing before my next appointment. When she returned, she asked if she could trim my eyebrows. I didn't mind. Then she applied some serums and creams to refine my pores. It was so relaxing and I felt so nice and rejuvenated afterwards. She escorted me back to the waiting area until my next appointment for my massage. I waited maybe about 7 minutes after my facial appointment. I had such a great experience with Jennifer and was so excited for my next treatment. When i completed the form on the tablet initially, i mentioned in detail my problem areas like how the hostess said the mention. I again, mentioned to my masseuse about my problem areas before she began. I forgot what her name was, but it seemed like she was very new. She couldn't figure out the lighting in the room, didn't focus in the areas we spoke about beforehand. She kept apologizing for things... the pressure was very light for me and I mentioned she could apply more. She did for a little bit and then went back to light pressure again. Bummer. At the end, she mentioned that I should've told her about my lower back pain. All in all, it was a beautiful place. I think I would just come back for the facial only. I feel like the front desk needs to communicate better with the therapists and aestheticians about each appointment that is scheduled. Maybe have a team huddle before they open or something. It was Mother's Day so I guess it was a busy day for them. My friend's husband paid in full beforehand for her treatment, but the manager didn't communicate that with the receptionist either, so she had to call the manager to confirm. Other than the miscommunication, this place has potential.“
