We needed to change from a countertop range to a new oven + range combo, but the pipes were arranged in such a way that the oven could not be installed properly. I called on a Sunday, not certain if they even handle gas pipes, and they offered some time slots on Monday. Deven came out and arrived right at the beginning of his arrival window and was able to complete all of the work within the allotted time. “I was soo glad to get same day service as the call! Rather embarrassing to find it was just the pilot light, but great troubleshooting as to the cause. There's a high chance the flame was interrupted when I had the dryer duct cleaned. Now it's a more expensive dryer duct cleaning - Eyeroll!! Anyway I would call upon 5-star again for sure. He also gave good advice on providing more airflow to the water heater compartment.“

“Valentine and Carlisle were both great! Install went quickly. They started at about 8:30 AM, were done by 5:30PM. They were careful to explain what they were doing as the job progressed, cleaned up completely, and even cleaned the floor and walls where the old water heater had stood. All I have to do is touch up the wall paint!
They checked every faucet to be sure the water flowed properly, and cleaned every valve that was clogged from the water system being opened up ( 80 year old galvanized water lines, so lots of crud!).
And can’t forget Roger the electrician who wired for the new heater… he was great too. Photos of completed install and of old water heater location are posted.

“Paul saved my day! A pipe broke in my back yard continuously spraying water everywhere. I called Abe Lincoln Plumbing and Heating and Paul responded to my call. He didn't think he would be able to make it out today and began to guide me on the phone to look for my shutoff valve. It turned out we could not locate the correct one for the pipe that broke. Paul graciously arrived less than an hour later and fixed my broken pipe and a great cost. “US Trenchless gave me the best quote to replace an orangeburg pipe from the building to the street. It kept on clogging so I finally decided to replace it. All other quotes came in pretty expensive. Abraham said he will match the best quote by 5%. They finished in 3 days with inspection. Also helped with the follow up with the city to replace the city's drain. Will go with him again when needed! They installed clean-outs. It was one of my smoothest contract work.“

Other folks had recommended replacing the water heater. I told the technician Mike what our issue was that prompted us to get the estimate in the first place (four previous companies had told us due to sediment build up we needed a new water heater). None of them actually diagnosed the issue for us - just listened to our issue and recommended a replacement.
