I have enjoyed the Suzuki approach more than any other method I have tried. As a child, I was never taught to really master piano, but in the Suzuki method, each step is carefully taught so that I can confidently build on it. My teacher has helped me to achieve a higher level of performance and ability than I EVER thought possible. I now participate in a statewide music test successfully for the last 5 years.

Mr Jackie was so great. He really offered the kids a great perspective in learning, he played games and engaged them. I really appreciated his approach to learning. My daughter asked to help her “play the blues” this morning, before our lesson she didn’t have any idea of such a thing and now she can’t wait to play the blues. I love it!

We are loving our pianos lessons so far. My daughter has really taken to them really well. She loves her teacher Jessica, she is so patient, kind and explains what we are doing very clear while making it fun. And allowing parents to be involved has made this a fun experience for both my daughter and I. My daughter loves practicing and showing her teacher what she remembers from the week before and I know this is because of the method, it’s fun and makes learning piano more simple I feel. The academy also found a location for lessons near our home which makes it even better. It’s been wonderful so far, we love this method and the teacher. I would highly recommend this...read full review

From Suzuki Piano Academy

We provide private classical piano lessons for ages 3 and up. Suzuki piano is a nurturing method based on ear training and mastery. Reading is introduced after students have reached a basic level of tonal and rhythmic competency on the piano. Repetitions are a joyful component of the Suzuki method and parents play an important role in the Suzuki triangle as well. Families should plan on listening to the Suzuki piano recordings as soon as possible. Instituting a regular listening program in the home is the greatest teaching tool outside of formal Suzuki lessons. Students have many opportunities to play in recitals and community events to hone their performance skills. Suzuki piano lessons are nurturing, yet deeply detailed.
