This K C Mechanical business was in effect for over a decade and gave beyond master grade service (it was specialist ran and owned). It was offered expansion for the whole west coast by Safeway for exclusivity, but turned down the offer and stayed tiny. The owner essentially let the employees unionize after he already gave before that $25 hourly pay, family pay, work completion incentive bonus of $50 hourly past an 8 hour day, medical benefits, free gas paid by company if they took work vans home, and more.
