Rod Halimi who initially seemed knowledgeable and helpful, processed a reverse mortgage for my mother who is now deceased. The loan closed in August 2022 and was secured by finance of America reverse LLC. My mother passed in October 2022 in working with this reverse mortgage company has been a nightmare. I have been in real estate for over 25yrs all aspects , own a mortgage company , a mortgage underwriter with a major bank , now aim a real estate broker and have my nmls license to do mortgage loans, i refer my client to John Taylor of your company in June 2018, he help my client with her credit to where they were able to get a loan in April 2019. i send the client back to John to do the loan (which i could have did my self or refer to another loan officer ), needless to said this was the worse experience i have had with any loan offers in my career, this guy took 85 days to close, a NO Money Down ,No Closing Cost loan which means my client should not have came out of pocket ,however at the end he said for my client to take 4700.00 to escrow , he told my client to ask me to wave my TC Fee of 425.00 , everyday he would call or text my client to bring something difference, he told my client who i refer to him NOT to tell me went they spoke , he stress my client so it was ridiculous, he ask my client for 350.00 went i asked him for what he had no answer, I taking time to write because we as real agent and loan officer all ready have a bad reputation we are not trusted ( in general ) and i just hope this guy learn communicate and working well with others is the key to our industries success .
