UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians

Similar issue with Baychildrens Physicians. The claim was for someone who was present during the birth of my son. I paid for EVERY BILL GIVEN TO ME BY THE HOSPITAL. They submitted a separate claim without my son's name (was sent to insurance as "Babyboy"...), which my insurance denied. Resubmitted...when my insurance did a stupid and needed the claim to be sent again. The group didn't...and sent creditors after me. These are horrible people. The more I read about them, the more horror stories pop up.

My son, too, was born at Eden Medical Center. I was hoping to enroll him at PAMF eventually and since PAMF pediatricians are not on-call for Eden, I was given the option to use the "house pediatrician" at the time of delivery, hence Bay Childrens Physicians (now absorbed by UCSF Benioff apparently). It's been two years since his birth and I'm now receiving a bill for $1200. Same thing, the group had been sending their claims to the wrong address and never bothered to contact insurance to correct the information for timely processing. My experience mirrors that of several other reviewers. I can't find any entity named "Bay Children's Physicians" online and wouldn't even know that an account listed on my credit report for that entity was associated with Oakland Children's Hospital if it weren't for these other reviews. We've moved since my son's hospital stay there and I wasn't aware of any unpaid bills until this charge tanked my credit. Now I'm stuck trying to track down whether this is a real charge or a mistake like others have mentioned.
