She’s so sweet and takes her time to framing eyebrows for your face while also checking in with you if you’re comfortable with the shape, length and color! (1st pic is my eyebrows before & 2nd my eyebrows everyday & 3rd is me with makeup on ) the color softens over the healing journey so trust the process before the color sets. Pain is 3 / 10 at most! Be mindful of your and her time and schedule your apt giving yourself 2-6 hours window before your next thing on your to do list. Invest in yourself and in her because it’s such a confidence boost everytime you get ready (peep my 3rd picture) and NOT ready because your eyebrows are done! Out the door and in my bag is only my mascara & lipgloss. I literally never have a bad eyebrow day!

After getting tired of barber hopping all over the valley with what seems like shops hiring amateur apprentices just to fill empty chairs, I finally got around to Zavalas. No halfass cuts just to get to the next person in line, no knuckle head barbers that couldn't wait to get high until after work. A real gentleman's barber shop. I felt like bare knuckle fisticuff fighting someone at a Saloon over a poker game after walking out of there.
Jazzmin got down on this lil low fade. She slicked me back exactly like how I wanted but I don’t know if I can add that to the edit later. She was calm cool collected and straight forward that she wanted to give a lot of attention to detail cause she wanted to throw it down and show wussup with the skills since she was a female with delicate hands.I have trust issues too so I know god was checking my status but look. I didn’t find my little metal head chola like I wants to at the function but she was smooth and very focused.She had light hands and I got caught snoring a couple times.She was respectful with my head hitting the desk.It came out to $30+ after a beard and eyebrow clean up. Not bad. let me start by saying i absolutely hate most barber shops. usually the barber shop atmosphere is filled with a bunch of weird stares and toxic masculinity that honestly just made me choose people in the past that owned their own studio that would make the cut more personal and allow me to relax in a controlled environment without all the unnecessary chaos. coming from memphis back to cali I was extremely nervous because I knew I would most likely have to go back to the barber shop environment and when I did had a couple low bar experiences at a shop in brawley. after asking around a couple times I found out about this shop through a friend who is also an outsider who had a hard time finding the right shop for her family. she directed me to top notch and i’m not gonna lie between san diego and memphis I think i’ve found the perfect spot that will never lose my business. I started with Andrew who despite the language barrier gave me a clean detailed cut that was well worth my money. my second time I was lucky enough to get paired up with Victor who is more along what I was looking for in terms of accuracy with my curls and difference in hair texture. both barbers were extremely respectful and accommodating when it came to what I asked for and what my end result. the atmosphere is extremely different than the countless shops i’ve been to since I was a child. all the barbers always have a good attitude and don’t seem to care about anyone else but who is in their chair at the moment. would highly recommend you try this place if you haven’t before you might find a barber that could be the best fit for you. 10/10 experience every time and the owner is super cool and gives the vibe that he only accepts good cuts and nothing else ?.
I was out of town to attend a party and broke a nail. Looked up a nearby nail shop and ran across this place. When I arrived they informed me it was by appointment only. Then Lilia, who was working with a client asked if I could wait 20 min. I ran around the corner to a local shop and returned to have my nail repaired. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Going out of town and breaking a nail. You never know what to expect. One time my regular nail technician was like who did you let try and fix this. Anyway, Lilia was patient, confident and did an amazing job repairing the one nail. Thank you! If I lived in El Centro I would definitely return.

I've been going to Shanti Nails for years now and my go to nail tech is Nena. There is no one else I trust more than her for good mani and pedi. She's helped me maintain my nails healthy and strong and I stopped getting acrylics after learning how to properly care for my nails. Prices are excellent and I paid about $50 for the gel + design on all 10 of my fingers which I think is a great deal. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a new nail tech!

Every time I go in, they have done something cute to the decor or their services to upgrade the feel and the experience. It always makes me feel so relaxed and pampered. I have never had a nail tech that wasn’t fantastic at what they do, and friendly.

Ive only had a few massages, but the results i received at this place were great. Muscles were very knotted and compressed. They were specifically targeted and plenty of pressure was used. My stiffness was gone and flexibility improved dramatically. The atmosphere is cozy and the pricing is very reasonable. No need to put off getting a massage when i need one with this place around
