I needed two patches sewn on to two jerseys the same day I walked in and without an appointment. A very nice (and chic) woman greeted me and told me the work could be done; just to allow a couple of hours. Super! Upon my return, the patches were sewn on exactly where they needed to be and looked awesome! For this speedy work, I only had to pay $14 total. Since I don't sew, this is a great price. When I get the other patches to complete the outfits, I'm definitely coming back. By the way, there are some gorgeous embroidered scarves at the front counter. I didn't ask if they were for sale, but they may give an idea of the quality of work done there.

Lan is a miracle worker! She worked her magic to restore a WWII Army Air Corps uniform for my father to wear for the 80th anniversary of the Dday invasion in Normandy, France. She skillfully tailored fragile 82 year old wool fabric as she combined two officers jackets into one. It looks as good as it did in 1942 when he got his commission. She could even make a garrison cap fit him. She is kind, capable, and very skilled! We could not be happier with her work. If you need any alterations or tailoring on a garment, be it new or vintage, get yourself to her shop. She's simply the best we've found in our 65 years living in San Diego county.

I have been coming here for years and she has always done an outstanding job. She always gives you a pickup stub that's states how much your alterations will be, so I'm not sure why one review states she doesn't let you know how much the alterations will be. One thing to note is that she does not take debit/credit cards. She has hemmed every pair of pants I've ever purchased (even petite sizes are too long on me), she has taken in dresses, and has even made a nearly new dress from one I brought in when I wanted to change several things.
