“My wife and I have been coming to this Armstrong's in Del Mar for years. Admittedly, it's the knowledge, courtesy and service level that keeps us coming back. Today, I called with a simple issue of a pest (trail cam indicates a rat) destroying plants in our raised-bed garden. Michelle answered the phone and walked me thru my options. I visited the store and Tracie assisted me - then both ladies talked to me about the solution for our garden and were just very pleasant. It seems rare anymore to experience this level of service - it is a real differentiator. Thanks to all there.“

“I posted a project on Thumbtack. Someone from Greenview San Diego contacted me. I met John Kevin one day at my home. He took measurements and he had a vision. I was interested in 900sqft turf and 100sqft paver repair. I was mostly interested in getting turf in my backyard… but my wife was open to turf in the front as well. I chose Greenview SD because I liked that John Keven didn’t seem to be a salesman; he actually took measurements in the yard and he had ideas. The invoice was very detailed which is something I need. I liked that they offered military and Costco member discounts. The price wasn’t the lowest or the highest. I thought it was fair. They are rated highly on google and yelp. I loved how soon they were able to schedule me for the work. Edgar and the team, showed up promptly, had great work ethic and completed the project in 3 days. From the inception of our project to it's completion, Ari and Jeff listened closely to our desires and concerns and delivered an excellent plan that somehow managed to be within our budget and provided us with an amazing yard that we're very proud of. “I interviewed a number of landscape companies and Chris @ Ecology Artisans stood out well above the competition when it came to plant and tree expertise. In our case, mostly CA native/low water and fruit trees. He also has a deep understanding of the surrounding environment you need to create for your flora to flourish.Most landscape vendors I spoke with just wanted to know what we wanted and where, but there is a lot more to it. We setup multiple catch basins to maximize (hold in) our occasional rains and re-graded the property to get water to flow where we wanted it.His crew are great too, and complement him not just report to him. Mr. M and his crew did a fantastic job locating not only the source of the drainage back up, but also installed new lines to help with other areas of my yard.He was on site everyday and answered any questions my wife and I had.We added a retaining wall with stones and a fence to finish off our new home renovations. “My home has 1.5 acres of mature landscaping. I had no comprehensive system for watering, beyond constantly dragging hoses around. Eric Breceda is an expert at irrigation design and installation. I now have over 20 zones each thoughtfully designed for what is in that area, with the right kind of irrigation for that zone. A few zones were designed with future plantings and design in mind. I can now independently program and control them all from anywhere on my cell phone. This was a big job, taking over two weeks of trenching, installation, and programing. This crew was amazing. They arrived on time (early, actually) every single day of the job. (When does that happen?!). No one was leaning on a shovel, but was working every time I looked.
