Michelle is known around town as "the chiropractor for the Sacramento kings", so that says lots. I saw her last week for initial Chiro appointment and my experience was quite lame. Michelle doesn't accept insurance and has an hourly rate that is nearly twice other chiropractors. Must mean she's REALLY good, right?Michelle has you fill out all the paperwork AT your appointment, not online prior like EVERY OTHER DOC on earth in 2023, so that will chew up 10-15 mins of your paid time with her. She listened to my issues and seemed like she was versed in MRI I sent her. Her adjustments to my back and hips was the usual, but by about 30 mins into our 60 min appointment, Michelle was noticeably ready to conclude. At this point, we were about 40 mins into appointment and she hadn't even touched my neck yet, which was detailed in paperwork. At around the 40 min mark, Michelle was back at her computer, seemingly trying to climb through monitor to avoid my questions. Guess you're not suppose to ask doctors questions while at your $200 appointment. As Michelle was trying to climb into her computer screen, completely preoccupied with her notes, I made it clear I was STTILL here at appointment, having 20 mins to go, as well as an untouched neck. This is when the power struggle ensued. Michelle was so reluctant to answer questions, detail what was going on with my neck, or even write down the muscles involved in issue when I asked her for this info (so I could follow up with my own rehab). She said, "I don't write things down for people." ??? She quickly adjusted my neck, then climbed back into her computer monitor and made some snotty comment about how she can't be expected to teach me ART (stretching technique) in a few mins after it took her years to learn it in school. Michelle was UNABLE to make any eye contact for remainder of appointment. Michelle is a SPOILED and STINGY doctor. She is NOT at all in the biz of empowering her clients, so I won't be back to this "elite" establishment.I was back at my car 50 mins after I parked it for my one hour chiropractor appointment. Many doctors become doctors so they can CONTROL things -- people, context, info, etc. Imagine the $$$ this particular doctor is making, hand over fist, but doesn't have the integrity or character to give a client their full 60 mins, or the decency to NOT condescend and control experience. Imagine being so entitled and "untouchable" that this type of service you provide. There's a "cyborg" zombie doll thing going on BIG TIME here in davis! it's like the "professional class" is somehow way too impressed with themself :-) Overall, Ms. Chu is just a small person, inside and out.

I have been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for fifteen years. I went to lots of places, took lots of treatments, medicines, and I felt hopeless. After I started to Michelle, I felt relief for the first time. She listens to me. She understands me. She understands my needs. She is the best.

My whole family loves Michelle. She is an incredibly talented and insightful practitioner. She was able to help alleviate a variety of muscle, ligament, fascia and scar tissue issues and restore us to our active/healthy selves.
