I used Kindred-Gentiva for the past two years for my now 100-year old mother for 4 hours 7 days a week. I cannot speak highly enough of the caregivers who watched over her: Amelia "Amy", Lucia, Brenda, Nelly. I offer a big shout out to Amy who was the main caregiver; she kept me abreast of anything unusual with mom's health or that needed immediate attention. She gave me a weekly shopping list that became so helpful. All the caregivers kept her living areas very clean. The office staff was always friendly and did their very best to find replacement caregivers when Amy, Luisa or Brenda were sick. Each of these ladies showed ongoing compassion and understanding of my mom's declining mental and physical health and I will be indebted to them forever. Mom is now moving to a larger facility and I pray she gets the same care that the Gentiva employees gave her.

This review is long overdue. This review has to do with Kindered at Home and Aimee the manager. She was a lifesaver finding a Caregiver last minute for us!!! We needed a caregiver quickly, as our other caregiver for my mom suddenly jumped ship for another position at another agency, without much notice to us. It's difficult to find good caregiving during these times due to Covid restrictions, & a huge reduction in caregiving staffs, so I was very worried we would have a very difficult time trying to find someone suitable that would fit in with the other caregivers working with my mom as well as someone who would get along with my mom, as she at times could be challenging. Aimee came through & was our champion. She communicated & updated us with her search & when she found the right caregiver, she let us know of her qualifications, her previous history, & why she believed she would work well with us. Aimee was professional, understanding, a great communicator & listener & knew exactly what we needed. I highly recommend Kindered as Home, as they have an excellent reputation of making sure your loved one is being well cared for, & Aimee treats everyone with the most utmost respect & kindness.

My best friend had a neurodegenerative condition, he needed a lot of help and we desperately needed someone to help us take care of him. We had initially selected another service, but the had a Covid outbreak the day we were supposed to talk, a couple of days before heading out on vacation.The other service gave us Aimee's phone number, and it was amazing. Aimee understood immediately what we needed, and offered to visit us right away, in less than an hour she was there. I was a bit concerned, after all, 3 gay men dealing with to Catholic ladies... I had no reason to be concerned at all. Aimee was not just professional, but caring and understanding, and we got a caregiver who was also a gay man, so my friend felt more at ease. The team made by Pablito, Ninfa and Rosemarie was very professional, always on time and made our friend's life much easier. They became like family, gave him professional care, allowed us to have more time for ourselves and rest knowing our friend's needs were being take care of.Our friend died recently, leaving a huge hole in our lives, we miss him, and we are sad, but we are also happy and in peace because with Kindred at Home, he had professional care, he had lovely , kind people helping him, every day. He became stronger, he gained weight and was healthier, before he died.Thank you, Aimee, thank you, Claire, you were key in the last months of his life and we can't thank you enough for all what you did for us.I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this service.
