I hate writing a negative comment but I went there for a relaxer and my hair has been breaking off since. I don't believe they use a neutralizer shampoo or conditioner. My hair always turn green and the stylist comments on it. I been doing my own relaxer for years because of dry hair. I dont know what shampoos and conditioners they use but it's not for my hair. Since I do my own hair I buy the best shampoos and conditioners possible and never had a problem in the years I been doing my own hair. I was going here for years with brittle hair. And she itemized everything done as if she was not going to wash the relaxer out of my hair. It cost 135.00 plus I gave her a 15.00...read full review
Great haircut, nice ambiance and professional service. Ask for Marlita. She's one of the experienced ones and she did a great job with my hair. I was a bit apprehensive before going to this salon as the rating was kind of ok and it's inside JC Penny. So I thought may be it's just a fast salon with basic hair cut service and nothing more to expect. I still went in nevertheless as it's 5 minutes walk from my place but Marlita was very professional and I could see that she is an experienced barber. I would visit again!
I rated 5 stars cuz I used to work here 5-6 years ago. I met a lot of great friends and people here through out the years, I learned a lot on the job even when I was a Visual Manager at Sears or a Men's Department Manager at Macy's. Is different begin treated as a regular sales clerk, cuz I have more experience then the rest of the sales employees. They expected more from me, more responsibilities and less pay. I even have to " teach " new managers how to be a manager. Lol. They ( management) gets the praises and I get a "thank you " from the managers. It wasn't right. Anyway, the store is pretty clean, sales employees are friendly and helpful, managers not really. I think some managers need to take ethics class, they can be mean sometimes. But a lot are pretty nice. Is been so long that I forgot their names already. The store is pretty packed with merchandise and if they don't have it they can order it for you, free shipping to the store which is great so people won't be stealing your packages from home. Lol. The package pick up area can be slow at times but trust me, they try their best to help you get your merchandise. Is only that sometimes that 1 customer got to order 50 pieces of merchandise separately and they have to process them one by one. Or some of their packages haven't arrived yet cuz they got a text saying is here and they started complaining. The employees are doing their best to help you, stop with the nasty attitude and take a deep breath and be calm instead. The only complaint is the restrooms, they need one of those timely air freshener every hour cuz sometimes it can get smelly and you need a gas mask or run in do your business and run out quick. Or when you walk out and someone walks in, say " that smell didn't came from me " lol
